Well, to me it sounds beautiful spoken by an English. I love their accent. People from USA have a horrid accent and they speak slang, not english. In some areas of the USA they seem to speak through the corner of the mouth, in a way like chewing the words

I am Greek and my first language is Greek.
Well, english could seem like a boring language (depending on the use and the accent), but I think it's pretty, especially if you know how to use it (for example, having a rich vocabulary). It does make a difference listening to British or American English (the latter sometimes gets disgusting because people with non anglo-phone origin use a mixture of their accent and the accent spoken where they live, so you feel this is not english at all). Certain accents (especially British) can be awesome, while others do not seem very interesting. Compared to Greek, it seems to distort vowel sounds and be less "clear", less "open-sounded" (imagine how that would be compared to spanish). It's also true that Americans speak in a different pitch, isn't it? Am I wrong at anything?

My first language is Portuguese, and I also know a little French, Spanish, and currently learning German.
But I absolutely adore English, I find it extremely pretty. I guess it is a matter of personal opinion, but I find it perfect for song lyrics and poems - because the words are short, and the syllabus are usually dubious. I like much more the English spoken by Americans, because it is so much softener and easy on the ears, vowels blending together in a continuum. Britt English is more rough and sharpened, with a stronger highlight to consonants, which I personally dislike - it sounds "t", "d" and "k" to me! And Americans many times sound like they sing while the speak.

My first language is Spanish, which I love, but I must say that I also love English. I enjoy reading in both languages, and each of them, in their uniqueness, is beautiful. English is concise, economical, uses contractions, does not allow double negatives, etc. Spanish is voluptuous, florid, redundant, assertive.

My first language is italian and i have studied english for 13 years of my life(at school)...howevever i have to continue to practice this language for my exams at university.
It is a little "unhappy"...in Italia we have to learn english
(and we CAN'T get a degree without the Preliminary English Test)...in Spagna they have to learn english...in Francia they have to learn english...in Germania they have to learn english...But english people?
Often english and american tourists ask we information...they ask if we speak english...people who goes in a foreign country should learn at least the most important words that could serve them....
Sorry for my vent but is difficult for me to accept that there are people who have to work hard to learn the same foreign language while a lot of other people aren't troubled to acquire knowledge about one of the others foreign languages....
BUT I DON'T WANT TO GENERALIZE AND ACCUSE ANYBODY....!!
However i think that english is easy ...and it is nice when english and american people speak my language: you can't spell "r" in italian way :)

i think english is pretty enough (my first language is Japnanese, but i also speak German, French, and Russian.) However, i think french sounds more flowing and soft, German's more hard and "percise". English is more, just, normal. ordinary.
