I have a trainer (just started) and I'm happy with him so far, however, when he asked me about my diet he suggested I eat 5 meals a day (2 snacks inbetween). Said my 'snack' should consist of protein, good carbs/fat... My question is.. Do dried chic peas have protein? (also known as chi chi beans)

the biological value (BV) of non-animal protein sources is very low. the BV of a protein source is how much biologically available protein remains after digestion. for most nuts and seeds this is around 50-55%. so if a serving (100 grams) of say chick peas provides 5 grams of protein after digestion there are 2.5 grams of protein actually available for use by the body.

The simple answer is that chic peas are really beans (not peas) and do have protein. If you are using these a snack, then they should do the job (whether they have as much protein as something else or not, and despite their being incompole — a fuller protein, e.g. some healthy fish or chicken (you don't mention if you are trying to do the whole vegetarian bit, which can be more difficult) will provide he basic protein. If you aren't carrying around dry chic peans but can get things from a fridge, then you can take care of the protein, good carbs and fats by making humus using olive oil and chick peas and sesame as a base. Note: if you have any problem with your kidneys, get medical advice before you use chick peans or any other dried legume. I was using chick peas, which I like, but had to stop because I was diagnosed with kidney problems.

Chi chi beans? Are you sure you have that spelled right?
Chickpeas, otherwise known as Garbanzo beans, definitely have protein. According to the can of organic garbanzos I found in my cupboard, a 1/2 cup serving has 6 grams of protein, 18 g of carbs, and 5 g of fiber, which is also good, and 2 g of fat.
Other beans or legumes usually have more protein and less carbohydrates. You could eat black beans, lentils, adzukis, pintos, etc. Dried, they're less expensive but require cooking. Canned, they're ready to eat in soups, salads, with rice, or put canned chickpeas in a food processor with olive oil, garlic and lemon juice and make you own hummus!
There is also chickpea flour which is the main ingredient in falafels.

Should be 6 small meals a day, and beans have more protein than chic peas, just google it, and see.

I really don't know, but I'm sure you could read the label or ask your trainer.
