I would be tempted to go for a second opinion with another vet. I also wouldn't be surprised if giardia did show up in a test . Have you tried changing foods? It may be worth a try. Start by feeding a boiled chicken and rice meal until the poos firm up. If you don't get firm poos in a few days the you can be pretty sure its not the current kibble you are feeding. Good luck

Those do not always show up right away ,and he should be tested again. My dog had intestinal issues when we first got him too. You need to get another script for more anti diarrheal meds. Are you still feeding the perscription dog food? My baby didn't have that, but he went thru a streak of diahrrhea too. To this day, he can't drink too much water or he throws up... Anyway, the vet needs to continue to check for other sources.. Have they done blood work? or has it only been stool samples? Keep on them and you'll find out what's wrong. Good luck

That is a really long time for a puppy to have diarrhea. I, too, would say get a new vet.
Also, I would purchase Hill's I/D formula from the new vet. That stands for Intestinal Diet. It is very bland and easy on the stomach. If he does ok on that, then gradually start mixing in small amounts of regular puppy food after a week. I would try a holistic food such as Eagle Pack Puppy Formula. It should be easier own his stomach since it doesn't contain any fillers or by-products. You will probably have to order it on-line though as only health food stores typically carry it.
Monitor his water intake throughout this process and if he isn't drinking enough, take him to the vet immediately.

First of all get a new vet if they keep testing for the same thing when it comes back negative. Keep him on the low fat perscription food and give him some diluted pedialite to help with dehydration. Thins will help settle the stomach. You may ask for him to be tested for infections or bacteria in his stomach(that is what my Beagle had) Puppies tend to get into stuff and reinfest themselves often. I am no expert so I will not pertend to know what your poor baby has but I do stick with getting a new vet.

What, if any, diagnostics have been completed? i don't think of that going to a sparkling vet is the respond. i'd pass returned to the unique vet because of the fact they're maximum attentive to the case. that's unfair to think of that this vomiting episode is a continuation of the final one and that it is the vet's fault. incredibly if the vomiting had stopped for 10 days. in case you added this occasion to me, i'd repeat a fecal, carry out a little bloodwork, and take radiographs to determine for obstructions. The fuzz interior the vomit makes me think of that a distant places physique must be the fault. Hypoglycemia, that's user-friendly in those little adult males, could additionally reason vomiting.

have you been changing the food? or is he eating people food? both can cause upset tummys. there are lots of parasites that can cause it, i'm assuming you've had the fecal checks done, but what about full blood work?
who knows, maybe dogs can get IBS too
