Jesus was talking and teaching us how to pray:

our father prayer:
Our father which art in heaven hollowed be thine name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory forever.
Amen
First Jesus was telling us how to pray so he was talking.
So who is the father? And what is his name?
He said, "Our father" so it is his father to.
When Jesus sets up his rulership over the earth his will
will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Yes he does, according to Exodus 6:3 and Psalm 83:18 of the KJV.

In the Lord's prayer, when Jesus taught his followers to pray "Hallowed be thy name" he meant the Name should be held as holy or sacred, and one way to do that is to make it known.

Apparently most people must think Jesus said "Hidden be thy Name" because they try to hide it.

TO anyone who claims Jehovah is not his name, that it is Yahweh, Yehowah, or some other variation, you are not taking into consideration we are speaking English, and while Yahweh or Yehowah is the Hebrew for our creator, the English translation of the Tetragrammaton is JEHOVAH.

You dont really sound like one of Jehovahs Witnesses!are you?
At any rate you are correct: Jehovah is the English pronunciation
of God's name, and is recognized by most Bible scholars and, are in
agreement with that. The (scholars)in this forum,Well!! what can
you say?Psalm.83:18 tells us this.As do many other Scriptures.
In Jesus sermon on the mount(quoted by you.Matt.6:9)The word
-hallowed-Alot of people dont really understand what that word
means.TO Hallow,According to my Websters, " To make or
regard as holy" In the New world Translation the word "Sanctify"
is used, and it means the same thing. So,in order to Hallow or
Sanctify someones name you would have to know that name and
also to use that name. The Divine name is found also (K.J)Ex.6:3,
Gen.22:14, Ex.17:15, Isa.12:2, 26:4,and Judges.6:24.So when
various translations omit the divine name, they are taking away
from the inspired word of God.And we all know, that is not a good
thing. The Bible tells us that Jehovah God has and will "Take out
a people for his name" their are over six million now on earth that
(Hallow)or Sanctify that holy name.......

Jehovah is the best English translation of the Divine Name. The Tetragrammaton can be translated from the Hebrew into YHWH or JHVH. While no vowels appear in the Hebrew spelling, because there were no vowels in the Hebrew language until the second half of the first millenium, a combination of vowels are added in order to provide a pronunciation in the English language.

Just as the Hebrew name “Yeshua” (or “Yehoshua”) is translated into “Jesus” in English, the Hebrew name “YHWH” is translated into “Jehovah” in English.

The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God” or “Lord”, especially if you speak Hebrew. If you speak English, feel free to use the name "Jehovah".

(Psalms 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth

(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them

Your idea's sound a bit too cultic for my taste. I believe the Bible teaches that there is one God not two or three. Since Jesus called the Father God and Jesus Himself claimed to be God and the Apostles called the Holy Spirit God there either has to be 3 Gods witch would violate the rest of scripture or those 3 Beings must be the manifestation of the One true God. Who did you hear this nonsense from the Jehovah's Witnesses? Jim

Sure his name is Jehovah.Ps.83:18
18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
In the footnotes of one of my Bibles it says that everywhere LORD is written in large caps, they used LORD in place of his name. I don't know why they substituted LORD for his name.

God is the One True God.
The Names of God are His creation.
The Name He gave to the Jews sounds as Jehovah, no earlier than 6,000 years ago.
The Name He gave to the Hindus sounds as Brahma.
The Name He gave to the Muslims sounds as Allah.
The Names He gave to the Baha'is today is Baha and others...
Before the Adamic Cycle, He gave many Names to human beings in various zones, and after the Baha'i Cycle, He will give to the unified mankind more Names in order that we can realize more and more about His Divine Reality which is eternally unknowable.
When we humbly and sincerely learn about His Names and His Teachings through His successive Messengers, we will thankfully recognize that He is the only Creator of all worlds and all creatures to manifest His love to us, who are equally His rational children.
