My cousin saw a peace sign. Or maybe that was the front end of the Mercedes right before it ran over him. . . . .

If your spiritual motivation has been too low during your mortal lifetime it is perfectly possible that you won't see anything, and will die without any memory from your just past lifetime so that you don't know who you are and remember nothing about the life you lived. Many people die like that. Not everyone gets into heaven. Some die with no intention of that. Some die on a battlefield and though they know nothing they keep on fighting. People who have led a spiritual life get into heaven regardless of whether what they believe is true or false, but they are better off if they are on the side of truth.
'Some are fetaled onto some spiritually oriented mortal relative who cares enough about them to carry them about day and night constantly and the person fetaled learns 2nd hand that way which is better than not at all. This can in time render one having lived a shallow empty life ready for heavens first stages. What you see when you die depends on how loving, forgiving, helping and generous you were to all those around you.

I believe you just die.

I believe that all of the 'near death experiences' that people have had are delusions - the bright lights being the result of a lack of oxygen to their brains, the people they see are the result of memories combined with what they have been taught.

Obviously, if they came back, then they were never actually dead, so nothing that they saw has any bearing on what will happen when you die.

It's funny, because people spend a lot of their time worried about what happens when you die, and I think that a lot of religions and belief systems were simply designed to make you feel better about where you and your loved ones go when you die. Or to make our lives and the universe make more sense.

There are so many different viewpoints on this subject. Some believe you see a white light, some believe you just float around in limbo until judgement day, some say when your dead your dead and you just lay in the ground until judgement day, and some say you become a ghost and haunt places but only if your spirit or soul is unsettled. Your guess is as god as mine, but if you want to know the correct view point, read the Bible.

I don't know personally. I've read a book (can't remember the title, I think its 90 minutes in heaven by Don Piper, yeah that's it) Its a great book. Don died but he was a christian so he went to heaven. He said he didn't see a light or walk down a long tunnel, he instantly went to heaven (at the gates) and there was no pain or fear. He had an awesome experience. I just cant wait until all of us Christians get to heaven. You should read the book. It's excellent!!

I had a vision about death when I was really sick and afraid I was going to die. At first it was like I was asleep. Then I opened my eyes and everything was a warm, soft white. I saw an angel. It lifted my spirit up, but left my body behind, and carried me up to Jesus. Because I believe Jesus is my savior, He welcomed me with open arms. I know that is what will happen to me when I die.

I like to believe that we go to Elysium...this is a place of ideal happiness...everyone's is different. Elysium is whatever your ideal place of happiness is. The people you love the most, you like etc. will all be there when they pass away, but in some way, they will have their own Elysium. There is no war, no crime nothing evil in your place. There is no one to judge you as you die, no one to stop you going there...it is just what you want.
I hope that puts your mind at ease.

I can't answer your question with any certainty, but I've been with someone as they were dying. It is clear that something occurs and that there is a great sense of peace. As to why that may be, I have my own theories. I also think there's much more in the universe than we understand.

No one know for sure. Houdini said if it were possible he would escape from death and no ones seen him in a long time. Just gonna have to wait and see for yourself. I think Ned Flanders knows, but he isn't talking. lol
