There is a convent of charismatic nuns here in a small town called Midvale just south of Salt Lake City. They spend no time on Mary or her "greatness" and all their time praising and worshiping God. They keep no figurines but do hold themselves outside the world in praise and worship.. Don't tell they don't love the Lord and are not Christian woman. I would love it if I could have a prayer life 1/4 what theirs is...

Oh goody, more Catholic bashing. What do you think we do -- dance naked around Zeus' altar or sacrifice chickens to Legba?
We worship God and God Alone. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, Whose death on the Cross atoned for our sins. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life.
If that doesn't make us Christians, then a lot of Protestants are in a whole bunch o' trouble.

Did you know Catholicism is the original Christianity and all other denominations branched off from it?
The only requirement to be called "Christianity" is that you follow Christ. As Catholicism does this, it is of no consequence what traditions or additional beliefs are incorporated.

If that's true than Christianity is a very minority religion, with a small percentage of followers in the world.

Hogwash!! Catholicism is very much Christianity.
It's obvious you know nothing about it.

Jason, knock it off.
Seriously. Knock it off.
The only thing required for someone to be a Christian is to believe in Christ. NOTHING ELSE.
Do the Catholics believe in Christ? Yes they do. So they're Christian. They were the first Christian religion. Whether you happen to like that or not doesn't matter one bit. Now stop spreading lies please.

The most crucial problem with the Roman Catholic Church is its belief that faith alone in Christ is not sufficient for salvation. The Bible clearly and consistently states that receiving Jesus Christ as Savior, by grace through faith, grants salvation (John 1:12; 3:16,18,36; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10,13; Ephesians 2:8-9). The Roman Catholic Church rejects this. The official position of the Roman Catholic Church is that a person must believe in Jesus Christ AND be baptized AND receive the Eucharist along with the other sacraments AND obey the decrees of the Roman Catholic Church AND perform meritorious works AND not die with any mortal sins AND etc., etc., etc. Catholic divergence from the Bible on this most crucial of issues, salvation, means that yes, Catholicism is a false religion. If a person believes what the Catholic Church officially teaches, he/she will not be saved. Any claim that works or rituals must be added to faith in order for salvation to be achieved is a claim that Jesus’ death was not sufficient to fully purchase our salvation.

The definition of Christinaity is to follow Christ. If the main tenants of the faith are Christ based, as in belief of him, then BY DEFINITION they are Christians.
Dont pick on the Cathilocs now, its not nice.
