This is something that bothers me, because i like to crossdress. I consider myself quite a moral person, i go to my church on sunday, say my prayers at night, never have heard or read anythin about crossdressing as a sin, yet i hear people saying that it is a sin! where in any creed does it say this? i am not homosexual by the way (even though i still believe that being homosexual is not a sin). im just a guy who instead of shirts likes to wear blouses, skirts instead of pants, dresses and make up because i like them.

this verse which is quoted by a few of you then surely tells us that nearly every woman, every day, everywhare is commiting a sin by wearing mens clothes???

First, crossdressers are rarely homosexuals. Second, so long as you are honest with your partner or any potential partner (nothing's worse than being lied to and then surprised!), you can indulge in your crossdressing to your hearts content. It doesn't harm anyone.

it all boils down at the end of the day to the way people percieve it - remember the general population isnt confonted with this everyday...each and every person has a different preference so every mind takes it in differently...

sexual preferences come into the factor and also other things...
for instance i'm a dragqueen i wear makeup - womans clothing lapdancer style shoes - and i get paid to do it - its my job - i f ind no sexual gratification in it what so ever i do it for the pure reason its a brilliant job that suits my needs and my lifestyle.

i know transexuals which are at the far end of the scale who have had bits added or taken away because they feel different and trapped in the wrong gender.

when it comes to being a transvestite this is usually for sexual purposes satisfying a need...we all have cravings and desires so the answer to your question...

"Do what you want to do, behind closed doors we all do different things as long as your not harming others who cares"

if you want to meet other people like you all you have to do is look online...and although you say your not gay which is fair enough it would be easiest to look towards the gay community for likeminded people who are alot more open to it all...theres even a time of year called SPARKLE which is held every year on Manchesters Canal Street where likeminded T-Girls get together (both gay and straight) look it up

Yes. The Bible speaks against it.

Deuteronomy 22:5. “The woman shall not wear that which pertains unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment for all who do so are an abomination unto the Lord your God.”

You state that you do not believe that homosexuality is a sin, but it is.

1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

I am not sure what church you go to, but if it is not teaching you these things, or if you do not feel that you can talk to the pastor, when you have a question/problem, then you should consider finding a 100% Bible-teaching/preaching church.

When Jesus spoke against sexual immorality - the Greek word "Pornos" was a generic term that covered all sexual practices apart from the standard man and woman marriage relationship. Meaning homosexuality, beastiality and even the heterosexual sins like cheating one one's spouse and sex with multiple partners, etc). It was ALL inclusive and in line with the spirit of the Law - remember - Jesus was a JEW and practiced Judaism. That should be your first clue. If he had practiced some other religion - he would not have been allowed in the temples and would have been stoned day one.

If it is a shame for a man to dress like a woman, it is a shame for a woman to dress as a man. The Apostle Paul, speaking through the Holy Spirit made this very plain.

So what I think and what you think does not apply. The sinful nature will have its way if you let it. ts what the Word of God that matters. God is not a pliable, "play-dough" god that we can shape according to our whims. Such a pliable god is not a god at all.

There has to be a standard that separates us from the world, for if we become like the world, the Christ died for nothing, and we Gentiles all are doomed.

Depends on your religion, of course. Its condemned in the OT, and also in the Quran. If you are the type of Christian which does not follow the OT, then you are fine.

I wonder why you feel compelled to wear women's clothing, though. Does what you wear really make a difference in how you feel? Personally, I think a lot of the more fashionable women's clothing is very uncomfortable - especially the shoes. I do like long, loose dresses, though. They are definitely more comfortable than pants. Would you feel just as good in a kilt or toga or dishdasha? (Men's "dresses" FYI)

Nope, Not a single thing is wrong with cross-dressing.

I love to do it. I don't get a lot of time to lately but I love wearing a skirt or even a dress and all of the extras (just around the house for me although sometimes I do have some pictures taken for fun :-) ). Outside of some people thinking it's odd just because it's outside the norm (outside their norm in particular) it's A-OK. And no, it has nothing to do with being gay.

Cross-dressing is fun.

I am sorry to tell this, but changing of what is due to a man or woman and vice-versa is a sin against GOD.

In the Christian religion, it is a sin...Believe me I know...I'm a girl who went to her prom in a dress, bowtie, top had, and tailcoat....my Youth Leader still won't let it go.

But yah know what, in my opinion, if it is what you wanna wear, go for it. But if you are really and truly concerned about it, refer to that verse and consider obeying it.

My perception of weird or wrong may not be your idea of wrong or weird. If you are comfortable going out in public dressed as a woman and it doesn't bother you that people may talk, then good for you. If your circle of friends or even the people at church accept you for who you are and you are TRULY happy, then by all means, continue as you are.

Not at all. Personally, I believe that Paul was gay and that his whole speech to the Corinthians was b/s. You should read the book of Corinthians where Paul explains that such things are an abomination to god (sorry don't have the exact verse) and you will know where the other side is coming from. However...you need to do what you want to do and never ever let anybody tell you what "god's will" is. YOU should interpret it for yourself. The Bible was written by men based on their interpretation of what god's will is. If their interpretation doesn't work for you, then it's not worth the paper it's written on.
