First you are going to go to a Probation Revocation hearing. This is in front of a judge, your po, and the DA. Depending on what you did and how long you've been out and how good you have been? Hiring a lawyer.

Well, generally, if you are given probation, it is given in lieu of a sentence of so many years incarcerated. Generally, if you are violated, you will go and serve out the original sentence, plus any time for the new offense if it is warranted.

So, if you were originally to serve 10years, but got probation you would likely serve that 10 years. And, if the new charges warranted 3 more years, then it would equal a total of 13 years.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe in TX, we do not allow probation violators to serve sentences concurrently. Also, I don't think that probation violators can get early releases for "good behavior" while incarcerated.

You won't go 2 prison unless it was FELONY probation. Usually,
one is given probation for a predetermined time, in exchange for
the release of obligated jail time. Ex. 30 days jail=1yr.probation.
If you got a state jail sentence probated, you will go to prison
for the whole sentence. (There is no parole for state jail. And as
far as TDCJ goes, the shorter the sentence, the more likely you'll
do the whole thing. I should know, I just got out...I did 18 months
on a 10 yr. sentence, my first felony...)

Well if you violated your probation, a judge can order you to prison.
