I very much believe in God. I love him with all my Heart and thankfull to him for always being available, giving me hope, love from him and letting me love others. Without him I no longer would be on this Earth because, he thought to save my life (literally) when I gave up and tried to check out in my teen years.
I've been the recipient of more than one Miracles (due to medical mistakes)and am able to walk again after others gave up.
Yes, God is real, truly and I am sad, when looking around and seeing what people in his beautiful world are doing to each other, BY GREED.
GREED WILL BE OUR DOWNFALL , IT WILL DESTROY US, but SATAN,HE SURE IS HAPPY !
To which group would you rather belong to? Me, IN GOT I TRUST!
My wish is: THAT MORE AND MORE BELIEVERS COME FORWARD, we might be able to make some changes for the good of the PEOPLE.
WE NEED HELP !!!!!!!

Your question is related to the cosmological argument for a First Cause of everything:
One needs to have a formalized understanding of logic and philosphy to understand the topic of God's existence. Here is a starting point:
Premise: Every event has a cause
Premise: The universe has a beginning
Premise: All beginnings involve an event
Inference: This implies that the beginning of the universe involved an event
Inference: Therefore the beginning of the universe had a cause
Conclusion: The universe had a cause
For something to have caused the universe it must have existed outside of the universe and time. That First Cause could only have been an omnipotent supernatural agent, God.
Another argument is one from design:
1. The universe began to exist
2. The universe has complexity, order and fine-tuning
3. Complexity, order and fine-tuning imply design
4. Design that began to exist implies a designer
5. Therefore, the universe has a designer
Premise 1: See Big Bang theorem (Hawking, Penrose) All matter and time itself began at this moment
Premise 2: Universe has complex designs, e.g, cellular DNA, Laws of Physics, fine-tuning for life on earth, etc.
Premise 3: Nothing ordered can come from chaos, an orderer is required. Laws of Nature are often cited, including Vuletic, as counterexamples, yet these very Laws are themselves ordered.
Premise 4: Self evident. If something did not exist, there is no beginner or designer
Thus, the universe has a designer.
Once I conclude logically that a designer exists, I must then look to evidence of this designer's will. After investigating, the bible appears to me to be the most reliable revelation of this supreme being. You can review the two links below for discussion about the reliability of the bible.

While all of my questions will never be definitively answered, I find that rationally my belief is on solid ground. There are many things in the world we do not fully understand, yet we have no problems in believing them. For example, solar physics is not fully known, yet we all accept the "fact" that the sun will rise tomorrow.
I have also taken the time to spend years in universities studying theology as well as science (have a Ph.D.), so I could more fully understand what I have staked my eternal soul upon. I don't advocate everyone do this before making a decision one way or the other, but I do suggest folks go beyond the rhetoric in these fourms, the media, and elsewhere, so they can be more grounded in their beliefs.

It boils down to faith. I am a very analytical person who has to have physical proof for everything. I believe in God because when I pray with an honest heart, He answers. I have seen more miracles in my time than I can count. The way I look at it, when you see something once, it is extraordinary. Twice is coincidence. Three times is just plain freaky. Four times is fact and fate. There are more reasons and things in this world to prove that there is a God compared to the small few that have a big-bang theory up their sleeve. Besides, the bible is one of the only sources of literature in the world that has maintained it's original context (according to biblical scholars). Plus, there is no other philosophy on earth with a greater following. Like they say, "How can over 90% of the population be wrong?" God will reveal himself to a person one way or another. You just have to listen.

God is just as real to me as that squash I just finished eating. Yes, I was raised in a home where we went to church every time the doors were opened but I'm old enough to know what I believe and that's the Bible. It amazes me how many people don't believe in the Bible and I'm sorry for them as one day there will be a belief and it won't be one hey like.
I've had too many experiences and given strength and comfort not to believe. God is so real - look at the beautiful blue sky, the birds that sing and that new life coming into the world. How do people think that these things got here if there's not a higher being then ourselves. God so loved the world - that's what I believe

I believe in Jesus.
I believe that God the Father sent Him.
So I believe in God.
Also I believe the Bible.
What the Bible says about God, the Father and Jesus and The Holy Spirit.
Here is something:
John 12:44 And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me.
The word "only" is not there.
NOTICE. Sort of gives the verse a whole new meaning.

In the sense in which most people conceive - or imagine that they conceive - of "God," no.
If the statement "I believe in God" is not entirely meaningless, we have to define what we mean by "God." And to define is to limit, and God is supposed to be a Being without limit in any dimension. Hence our traditional definition of God consists of flattering adjectives with the idea of limitation removed: omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. But none of these terms can convey anything to the human mind.
Of course, all I'm doing here is explaining why God can't be apprehended by the intellect, and I'm sure most "religious" people would agree with me on that. We disagree insofar as they seem to think that since God is a trans-rational concept, "spirituality" consists in forcing oneself to believe absurdities.

Yes, and I went a while without believing too. It was my own decision, my own experience. But my understanding of God is more pagan and nature-y.

For me, He is real, He exists, and I believe in Him. I was not raised knowing about God, my parents were two seperate religions, and chose not to teach us either one. I learned about God at 14, turned away from him at 17, and dint bother to really learn any more until about 21. From there, Ive made the choices that work best for me, in my belief, and I think, for ME, Ive got it right.
No, I am merely a Christian, not any religion or another, just God and Jesus, thats what I believe, and it works for me.

Nope
I was raised christian and eventually came to logic. God is a logical impossiblity from a philosophical standpoint... and once i reached this conclusion, I found that people were actually trying to rationalize a god by discounting evidence, and proposing theories as to how he could exist despite inconsistancies. Instead of starting with the view of no god and looking to find his existence, they were starting with god (because afterlife is a comfy thought) and justifying how we just couldn't understand his ways.
