online. I am not currently employed, which seems to be a requirement for some of these online colleges. What would be the best online college for me? I have never been to college.

Try going through the University of Phoenix and American Military University (AMU). They are very much tailored to the needs of USG personnel and dependents.

If you don't have any luck with either, go to the base your husband is stationed at and hit up the "Post Learning Center". They have plenty of counselors there, who will point you in the right direction.

Good luck.

I don't know who you have been looking at, but employment is most definitely NOT a requirement for online education.

I attend Ellis online.. part of NYIT. They are one of the few places to give a discount to military and their dependants.. and they have a much softer sell than Phoenix.

The military is working on coming up with a way that spouses can use the GI bill too. It's in the works, tho so who knows how long it will take. Check on Military.com and see if there is any info on this.
