There are two main factors involved, how long and how much? THC absorbs into body fat so 60 days is probably about right to get "clean" for a sensitive test. A chronic user who was a couch potato might be closer to 90 days. If you are taking a drug test and try one of the tea solutions that clean you out remember to start a few days before the test or your just clear the THC out of your body and into the specimen cup. A causual user with average body fat is about 2 weeks. And for drug testing don't forget that hair tests will show up for hair that grows 5 days after use, so wait a week after the last use before shaving your head, everything that grows after that should be clean

If your talking about getting sober, and not passing a drug test, use the numbers above to get the THC and residual effects out of your system and add 90 days for your mind to start working like it did pre-abuse.

Other answers: 30-60 days if you have been habitually smoking for years.

It is my understanding that it takes at least 30 days after smoking to be "clean". HOWEVER, I had a friend in college who swore that his brother could get clean in 5 days through hyper-hydration, i.e. he would drink gallons and gallons of fruit juice, as much as he could stand, over a period of five days to flush his system (and dilute residual THC to undetectable levels right before the test).

Of course, I have never seen this confirmed scientifically. Try at your own risk!!!
