because they are insecure

I think it is terrible that in this day and age that people do that.
I understand that some people just over eat and dont do anything about it which is their choice but some people cant help their size maybe because of an illness. Some people think that it is an excuse to say you have an illness and tell them to go on a diet, i have been there and it is easier said than done. When people stare they seem to forget how they are making the overweight person feel. They maybe feel insecure as it is and dont need the pressure of inconsiderate people staring at them like they are dirt.

i don't know anyone who stares at the overweight, because there's so many people that are overweight these days. if someone is morbidly obese and it's over 300 or so pounds, then it seems a little odd and all, because it's not something you see every day.

Most of the time, I stare at people without noticing because I'm thinking about something else. I guess I have a staring problem, when I'm stressed.

Cos they are judgemental jerks, and that little birdie who said she couldn't understand how a fat person can eat food in front of them is one of them. Let them be.

So they are more noticeable. So what? They are human, too. And they are damn well aware they are overweight. They don't need some judgemental skinny person staring them down like they're committing some crime against nature by existing.

I think they are just plain rude. I have always been skinny and I never stare at anyone, thin or not, to stare at anyone is rude. I would stare back at them until they look away. Why should anyone be stared at like that. People should be ashamed of themselves.

The way North Americans are getting so fat, its a wonder we are not staring at each other all over the place.

I can't help it ... I mean they instantly become the focus of attention, and no matter where you look after you spot 'em, there instantly the focus of the picture until I get away. Now I'm talking "Circus Fat Lady Fat" and not mere chubby, or obese ...

I've had this problem since I was a kid and had a "Circus Fat Lady" as a maid. I cried so hard 'cas I didn't know how to deal with her, and then she saw there was a problem and she taught me how to treat her. We became friends ... but still, anyone who isn't she, I just can't help staring at them.

Rude and lack of home training. People shouldn't do that no matter how big the person may be.

I don't unless the overweight person is acting strange or staring at me.

Because it makes me feel better about myself to know that though I need to lose 5 - 10 pounds, this fat bastard needs to lose 5-10 small children.
