he might have a stomach viruse or it might be his time to go, I suggest you take him to the vet and get him checked out.

Don't waste time waiting for answers on here - we are not vets and even if we were without seeing the cat how would we know what was wrong? As he is old, take him to the vets straight away.

Best of luck

Time for the vet. If it's both ends, he'll be getting really dehydrated and might need something to stop the sicks and the trots. Also might need fluids if very dehydrated.

But definitely see your vet. I usually wait a day for vomiting OR diarrhoea to see if it will clear, but both is often an emergency.

If your poor cat is this ill, for goodness sake take him to the vet immediately - they will examine him and give a proper diagnosis - nobody on Yahoo can possibly tell what is wrong just by reading your question - he needs to be seen straight away!!

The cat needs a vet right away as dehydration can set in very quickly and it can cause further problems, be life threatening and will later on require even more medical care for the cat. Please take the kitty to your vet.

yeah i'm thinking gastro. if he's vomiting and has diarrhea he is going to get dehydrated really quick. of course take him to the vet. also, he should try to drink just a very small amount of water every 15 minutes or so. don't give him too much or he'll just throw it back up. by giving a little bit every so often you help him stay hydrated without him throwing it back up.

I agree with judrop111 as my dog was like this and the vet said it was gastroentiritis, so take your cat to the vet.
