what happens if you're stopped walking down the street by the cops in possession of xanax when you don't have a perscription for it. Can they take you to jdc right there if you were under 18 or released to your parents? and if you were on probation or diversion at the time. say the amount you had was 10 1mg.

Each city will have different codes for that, if your a juvie, they can release you to your parents, and if you ave a history, you can go to juvie jail. But for the most part ,your looking at a fine, or community service..??

its considered misdemeanor possesion of a controlled substance and if your 16 or over you can be arrested on the spot and taken to jail. Now, what happens at the jail is up to the judge. He/She could do an OR (own recognisance) bond, or a monetary bond. If the amount is too high, you may have to stay in jail until your court date

For starters....why would you (or anyone you may be referring to) waltz around with 10 xanax tablets in your pocket? No...don't answer because I probably already know the answer. They weren't legal were they? No...of course not because you wouldn't be asking this question if you had the prescription and they were legit for you/them/whoever to have.
Keeping pills in their original container is one way to save yourself alot of grief. The other is to stop popping xanax like candy and straighten up.

Assuming that its you. If it isn't then I'll rephrase. Insert "tell your friend to" between "to" and "stop" in the last sentence.

You could store them in your rectum or put them in a suppository for slow controlled release.
