Yesterday i posted a question about extending your neck. I said i was sitting in a chair, started to slide down, and used my arms to push myself up, my neck felt as if it had extended a little bit, but it didnt hurt, just felt weird, and that was all. No pop, no crack, nothin. People were tellin me how i coulda injured somethin, done somethin wrong, and what not. Thats fine. Its possible. But kids all across america extend their necks when they cant see at a show or somethin, they extend their necks trying to see above someones head and stuff. And also, i went to my physical therapist today, said what i did, she just said be concious of my neck, and dont do that, then she laughed, and messed with my neck, havin me turn it this way and that, then she pulled it, stretching it, and blah blah blah. but my point is, everybody knows not to extend your neck, but doin it a little, is not gonna hurt ya to bad, unless you have no flexibility in ya neck. But say what you think or whatever.

And also, have you all ever seen the people who extend their necks by putting these circle thingies around their neck? Its gross, and they cant take them off because then their would be nothin to support their neck. Weird stuff.... Lol.

I really don't see a question but everyone extends their neck at times. Unless there is a flexibility issue, there are usually no ill effects from it. However, you can "move wrong" and injure a muscle or the soft tissue.

As to the culture with the neck rings, we miay find it odd or gross but it is considered beautiful to them and is a custom. Yes, they never could go wiithout the rings since they have destroyed their natural neck support but the rings are a normal part of their lives and they are never removed. They have done this for centuries and it is as natural to them as wearing clothes is to us.
