When you look at the first two races, both cars looked strong, especially Truex. Top 15 for a majority of Daytona, lead 13 laps and got caught up in the wreck that took out Jr. too and they finish 28th and 29th or somewhere around there. Yesterday in Fontana Truex qualified 7th, was up to 4th when his engine blew and then Jr blows up not long after.

Is there any team that has had worse luck so far in the season than DEI? Now sitting at 38th, 40th and Menard in 43rd?

DEI has had some misfortunes, it got so bad for them at Fontana I thought that Menard was gonna blow at any moment.
The most unlucky team is definitely DEI right now.
But the most unlucky driver, it depends on how you look at it. Stewart has had some bad luck, he had two really fast cars at Daytona and at Fontana, and he ends up getting wrecked accidently by Kurt Busch(I don't blame him), and then he was too fast entering pit road, and he could only manage to get back to 8th place at the checkered flag.
Stewart had a great chance to win those two races, and those would've been his first official Nextel Cup wins in the month of February, he's like 0 for 18 now in this month.

Well Truex and Jr. are not the only ones that have been having back luck. Well Daytona was daytona and they did get invovled in wrecks and there is nothing you can do about that. But this weekend having both of the engines blow is bad luck. But Nascar was using unleaded fuel for the first times in these cars so that could have effected there engines some how.

It is really not so much luck. If you listened to Jr's comments, after he was out of both races, he said that they were have problems with the cars. He was frustrated after Daytona because of the Equipment they had and he voiced the same concern after California.

Even the best driver with the best luck, can't do well if they have faulty equipment.

I am not a fan of Jr or DEI, but this time it was crappy equipment.

When all three drivers have bad races and issues with the cars, it isn't bad luck, it's a bad team. Look at Petty Ent. Whe Kyle and Bobby finish bad several weeks in a row, no one calls it bad luck, it's a bad team. DEI can turn it around though, don't worry.

Kasey is unlikely there. His settlement runs by next season, and he has of course reported that he's honouring his settlement. Ever on account that information approximately his using the Braun Toyota in national began popping out, anybody is making those wild rumours approximately him. he would be interior the Braun Toyota next season for 7 or 8 races in national. the only different Toyota he must be in next 12 months is that if Mr. Petty has to alter manufacturers, it extremely is accessible. Truex is going there, yet i do no longer think of Kasey might pick to bypass to MWR even after his settlement expires. i might think of if he's going to could carry a team, he might pick to proceed to be the place he's. As for sponsor, I hadn't heard something approximately Bud leaving him besides the undeniable fact that on account that InBev took over, I even have been questioning if/whilst they might bypass away the sport altogether. they seem to be a Belgian organisation, and that i do in basic terms no longer think of they're that drawn to a minimum of something as all-American as Nascar.

Jr. will never win a championship at dei, dei is not a champion race team,he needs to get control of his daddy's company and go with another race team like his father, which i think is going to happen in a year or two........

Yes, the teams that are trying to qualify their way into races every week but can't because the top 35 from last year are locked in for the first 5 races.

Consider this.....

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity.

I believe most of us would agree that DEI has no more or less opportunity than any other race team out there.

Propblem has to be in preparation.

Bad Luck is Bad Luck! But I think the UNLUCKIEST award goes to either Jeremy Mayfield, Who had the BEST Toyota @ Daytona and wrecked in the Duels and failed to make the race.. and then failed AGAIN to make the race @ Cali... Or it goes to Michael Waltrip.. After the cheating scandal @ Daytona and then NOT making the race @ Cali.. It's hard times for MWR.. He will not pull out of that -27 points hole either @ Vegas.. As he again fails to make the field!
