How did you do it? Did you become friends or try to get to know him better, or drop subtle hints and got him to ask you out, or just straight up asked him on a date? I'm just curious, I've never asked a guy out before.

Kind of funny little story. My BF and I were set up. We met through some friends of ours and the first meeting was a tad awkward. Then, I saw him again about a week later when our friends went out to eat. We talked a little and I thought he was very nice and wanted to at least get to be friends with him. So, when we were leaving the resturant, I asked him if he wanted to see a movie sometime during the week and gave him my number. I was nervous. But, it was easier than I thought after the deed was done.

Yeah, I've asked guys to formal functions, dances and whatnot. Always guys I'd known for a little while. After a while though, my mom absolutely forbid me to do this. She's pretty old fashioned and thinks no girl should ever ask a guy out. Go figure.
Now I have a steady boyfriend though, so I don't have to worry about any of that anymore.

My personal opinion is if you want something... go get it. Dont wait around for him to ask if he;s gonna take forever. A lot of men actually like when the woman makes the first move...it shows initiative and confidence.

yes i've asked out a lot of guys, it's no different than the other way round. become friends ask if he wants to grab a drink or something casual. the ball is then in his court if he wants to ask you somewhere he knows he can.

I have asked out a few guys... I just come right out with it.... I don't see the point in wasting time... I am not a shy person, so I have NO problem with letting a guy no that I'm interested in him and asking him out... It's cool...

Find a common interest, like movies, hiking, live music, bird watching, etc, and ask him if he wants to go. Don't even use the word date.

i am not a girl but can tell you that you can take out a guy by making that guy realize how much you care and wanted to become a friend of him

Many times. I was usually friends with them first that way I was more comfortable to just ask.
