A female puppy's 'first heat' comes somewhere between five months and one year, depending on her 'breed' (including mixed breed, known as 'mutt') and size. You can tell your female puppy is going into heat because she has 'bleeding' from her 'vulva' (the place she 'pees' from), similar to a woman's period but not so heavy, and while women don't 'make babies' when they are 'menstruating,' dogs do. Cats are basically the same, but they don't 'bleed' enough for most people to 'notice.'

It can vary a lot. I have had some go in eat at 7 months and others around 10 months. Sometimes especially when they have an early heat they will have what is called a split heat and come back in within just a couple of months.

Smaller breeds go into heat around 6 months of age, while many large and giant breeds are closer to a year old.

Anywhere from 6 months to 1 year depending on the breed.
Check with your vet to be sure.
If you're waiting to have her go into heat, then buy some diapers!

I agree with everyone else 6 Months to a year. That why if you going to get her fixed you should asap. If not then good luck breeding. Although you should wait until she is two years.
