Why are you supposed to look at the amount of Calories and "count calories" instead of looking at how many grams of Fat there is?

The reason is because you lose a certain amount of calories a day, and you can figure it out. I don't know how many grams of fat I lose a day, and that's why. Calories go up when grams of fat does anyway. So, the more calories, the more grams of fat.

when "counting" calories you are supposed to monitor the amount of total calories in the daily diet along with the ratios of protein, carbohydrates and fats. the sources of the calories is just as important as the amount.
