wow..that seriously is making me thing! i guess it would depend on the circumstances. i wouldn't lie to authorities or cover it up for my child, but i dont' know if i would go running to turn them in. If it was a habitual thing then yes....I wouldn't want him/her on the streets, but if it was an accident or something then I probably would just stay out of the whole thing.

This is a hard question to answer. I only have one child, and she's only five. Five, 10, 15 years from now, if she murders someone, I cannot even begin to fathom what I would do. If it's in cold blood, then she should be punished. If it's in self-defense, I'd support her every step of the way. In either circumstance, I'd support her. She is my flesh, my blood, and unless something terrible happens to turn her into a monster, then I will always be there, no matter what.

It would definately be a very difficult thing to do but yes I would have to turn my child in if he murdered someone because I just think that there are many other solutions to problems other than murder and murder is just wrong.

Taking a life to defend oneself or to defend another is far different than murder. If any of my children had to kill to prevent themselves from being killed I'd stand by them.
But if they killed for stupid reason such as anger or money or drugs, they stop being the person I raised and need to go away. If they do not have the values I'd shown them regarding life, then I could not have them in my home.

Yes, because, even as a child, they should know right from wrong. When you do wrong, you have to pay. Also, if you don't and the child is caught another way, you could also get charged for harboring or accessory. And, you sure can't help you son if you are in jail too!

If my child murdered someone, I'd have them turn themself in. There could be extenuating circumstances, a mental health issue.. It would be the responsible thing to do.

Killing and murder are two different things.
If my son murdered someone I would be obligated to turn him in if I had knowledge of the act.
We all must live by the laws of the land, none of us are above them. In this land, murder is wrong. He would need to be judged accordingly.

well the right thing to do is to turn the person in, notice that you wrote "murdered" and not "killed". there is a big difference

If it was in self defense or while protecting a loved one, probably not. Otherwise, I'd turn them in, in a heartbeat. No one (not even my perfect children) have the right to take someones life.
