I went out on Saturday night and got VERY drunk. To the point were I was nearly sick and cannot remember parts of the evening. I didn't get much sleep Sunday and all day today I've felt slightly sick and been starving hungry. Is this just part of a hangover or should I be worried? It's a LONG time since I was that drunk. And yes I was mixing my drinks. Also any tips to get rid of it - aside from the not drinking one which I will be following for a few weeks at least!

Ice cold chocolate milk does the trick. Plus keep drinking loads of water. Your brain shrinks when you get that dehydrated from drinking. Hence the bad head.

It's probably a hang over. If you were that drunk, they can last a long time. Hangovers are usually your body's reaction to being so dehydrated from the alcohol. Drink plenty of water or even better Gatorade or Powerade (and remember that for when you do drink again. I usually try to have at least a glass of water in between drinks. Or i take a big old bottle to bed with me). And i usually find that my all time hangover cure is a nice greasy cheese burger from Wendy's! Oh, it's the best!

Good luck!

It could be the hangover. The sickness could be irritiation of the stomach lining and the hunger is due to lack of food, because you have been feeling sick, no doubt. Trouble is alcohol gives you a quick high blood sugar level, followed by a crashing fall - which makes you so ill, as does dehydration.

What you need to do is drink lots of water to rehydrate. Eat a quick sugary snack (I mean a snack, not a full blown pig out!) followed by something slo-carbohydrate like toast or rice or pasta or porrige. This helps keep the blood sugar levels steady. Also eat fruit, or drink fruit juices for the vitamin C. And give your stomach and liver a good long rest!

bananas are good for hangovers, eat little and often, no doubt you feel starving hungry, and when the food is in front of you, you can only manage a few mouthfuls at most?
this is a perfectly normal hangover so don't worry, keep taking the advice above, drink plenty of water, sleep off what you can, and take some neurofen.
get well soon hon.

Yes, just sounds like a pig of a hangover to me. For future reference, drink plenty of fruit juice & water when you wake up (not coffee or tea). A hangover is a combination of alcoholic poisoning and dehydration. Time will sort it, but never, ever ,drink on an empty stomach. As for mixing your drinks that's not important. It's you total intake that counts!

You'll be fine tomorrow!

Friend, what you are experiencing is stage one alcohol poisoning. You drank way to much booze, been there done that. Take 5 Tylenol and drink lots of water if you can keep it down and plan on spending the day after laying down on the couch and becoming a couch potato, you'll fell better and if you have the shakes drink a beer, that will stop them and good luck

Drink plenty of liquid. I've heard that eggs are good for a hang over due to the enzymes found in it. Yeah, I am guessing that because you drank so much your body is not use to that type of abuse. Sleep would also be beneficial along with Advil and maybe some pepto.
