In the bible, the book of 2nd Timothy, I need to get a metaphor out of there. So if anyone already knows one please help me out and if you couldn't find one in 2nd Timothy, any metaphor from the bible would be helpful, thank you. :)

Here's a few...

Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.

Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene...
