yes my daughter cost £6,375 this year.

we cut packages, kept numbers to a min

if you haven't tried yet look at BHS and debanhams wedding range they have fab dresses. my daughter got all hers from BHS and it was less then a £1000 (she had 3 bridesmaids and a pageboy)

you can always ask the groom to help

Your daughter could have an amazing wedding for even less than 1000 pounds. It just depends on the guests, location, wedding attire, honeymoon etc. It is the extras which make a wedding expensive. A simple ceremony is not expensive in itself.

Absolutely depends on the type of wedding she has in mind. If she isn't looking for designer gown, perhaps hall or small hotel local photographer, small florist etc etc etc. then most definitely could be done. If she wants church, flowers, DVD, photos, dress around £1,000 - £2,000 again etc etc etc and depending on number of guests but averaging 100 with extra a night you are talking more £15,000 - £20,000. Obviously a lot more items required in both instances than I have said.

more than enough my wedding only cost £2500 that was getting married on a sat which costs a little extra as its out of registrar hours in a hotel with over 100 guests (total was including my dress and husband and son kilts)

Should be OK, can be done for a bit less, or a lot more but £7500 is a good figure, just set up your proposed budget for all items and then STICK to it.

Id say so. Mine was bout 10,000 and I had a medium size one! for tips to keep costs down, i would say keep the numbers for a sit down meal to a minimum, do not feel that it is necessary to provide a huge drinks package - i did bucks fizz on arrival and champage for the toast and thats all. I also hired my bridesmaids dresses rather than buying them.

I think it will be more than enough, she just needs not to get too crazy with the expenses.
