I live in a rural area and there aren't many hospitals to choose from. Many of the doctors and nurses around here act as though they don't have to be caring, humane people. I'm pregnant with my third child and I have been in severe pain from SPD for two months. I have not slept through the night and the baby has been measuring over two weeks big since I was four months along. We know he is not a small baby and with my history of giving birth to large babies and having to be induced, now that I am 37 weeks, I would like to be induced. The doc wants me to get an amnio done to make sure the lungs are developed, however, when I call and ask them when we can do the amnio, they act like I need to just suck it up and deal with it. I don't know how many times I've been told that pain is just part of it! I have had mornings where I cannot get out of bed...and I have a job and two children to take care of among other responsibilities. I'm paying for all of this-shouldn't I get better treatment?
