Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
An alternate version of this nursery rhyme is....

The cow jumped over the moon;

And the dish ran after the spoon.
or

And the dish ran away with the spoon.
As you can see there are several different versions of "hey diddle diddle" and the fork is not it.

It really was a lot more sordid than you'd think see the fork was caught spooning the dish, which caused a quite a mess.
