I'm not, but my daughter is kind of named after me.
When I met my partner, he called me his guardian angel who saved him by helping him go through a really difficult time, and he used to call me 'Angel'.
When I got pregnant with our daughter, there was only one name we could give her...so now, we have a 22month old Angel running around.

I am named after my dad, he is Michael John , and I am Michelle Jean. We named our son with a similar first name to his dad, and he has the same middle name. The middle name is something that runs through the family. The first boy born has the middle name Ralph.

My mother was named after her grandma. I was named after my grandma. My daughter was named after my mom (her grandma) and my daughter named her daughter after me. So it has become something of a tradition to name the first daughter after the grandmother. The interesting thing is that none of the names end up being the same. I got my first name from my grandma but have always gone by my middle name and my middle name is the middle name my daughter gave her daughter.

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin! My fourth child was very unexpected (and as far as the kids were concerned not entirely that welcome) so me and my husband decided that if we involved them in the naming of him they would accept him faster. Obvious argument ensued but after three weeks they decided to name him using initials from the whole family. So the poor little bugger is Alex (A from his youngest sisters name) James (J from his oldest sisters name) Richard (from his mum and dads names) Whittington (W from his brothers name) Davis. After all that though they just call him AJ!

I was named Angie after the song by the Rolling Stones. My middle name is Marianne after Mick Jagger's ex Marianne Faithful. My dad wanted to name me Saffron after the song by Donovan. In some ways I am thankful that my mum got her way over my dad!

i unfortunately was named after my dad, middle name. But it is also the last name of my great grandma so I like to pretend that my mom actually named me after her. Both of my daughters are named after family members, just tweaked slightly, and my soon to be son will have a middle name after his uncle.
