Darling, if you are so confident in your choice I fail to see why you care what we non-muslims think. I think the concern is that it appears that some women are forced to dress this way. If you are not among them, then the concern is not about you is it?
I would like to offer an alternative view on something. You say you feel liberated because men dont look at your body. I live in the west. I am not muslim and dress as a typical western woman. Most muslims seem to think that we run around in bikinis or topless but if you come to the USA at least, you will see that that generally is not true. We dont have public topless beaches and we wear swimsuits at the pool or the beach.
Anyway to your point about men looking at you. Men have looked at me and does not make me feel any less liberated. I am not responsible for another persons actions. If I know my intentions when I choose an outfit, what do I care what others say about it.
There have been men that say things, though I can't recall anyone saying something is too large or too small, I dont know where you got that idea. When men do say something rude (which is fairly rare), again that is not reflection on me. I dont know who dresses to invite rude comments (which seems to be an assumption you have, if a woman isnt wearing a hijab she is inviting improper advances from a man) but again if I am simply going about my business, it is not my fault that a man has no manners. If he says something bad, why should I be embarrassed? He is the person with no class.

Women in the Arab world, as same as men; love to be restrained. Custom has defeated your religion people. You'll know how much are you oppressed when your Dad marrys you to the man "he" wants.. aginst the religion, but.. PRAISE BE TO THE BEDWIN TRADITIONS THAT"S AGINST ISLAM. that's what most of The Muslims adopting now.
You think that most men are animals to look and comment at every female? is that the Islamic view? No, It's not.. God ordered us to "look decently", and "the first look is acceptable" the first look to what if you're wearing a black army tent?
Wudu (Arabic: اÙÙضÙØ¡ al-wuá¸Å«', Persian:آبدست Äbdast ,often translated as "ablution") is the act of washing parts of the body using clean water performed by Muslims, as part of the preparation for ritual worship, salah. It is Proven by Hadith that Muslim men and women did Wudu in the mosque beside each other.. Just both parties have to avoid looking.. This is the essence of Islam.. to control yourself.. not to hide yourself...
Wake up Guys....!

If you like that kind of life then good for you. But there some girls who want to work and take care of them selves and who like guys staring at them. so they should also be able to choose and not be forced to wear a hijab right? and the ppl who think you are oppressed are small minded thinking of only the families who force their daughters to wear a hijab.

It is a clash between Western and Islamic values. Simply put, I would not want to wear a head-covering to prove my faith. If this is what you want, that is your right. Can someone pull up a quote from the Koran that makes hijab a requirement or is it a tradition?

Your supposed to wear hijab as soon as you start your period. I love hijab. I also plan on wearing abaya and niqab because I know that it is in the Qur'an and in a Hadith by Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*). And I also enjoy wearing hijab as I don't get looked at like a piece of meat by other men. Plus I know I am getting good credit and am pleasing ALLAH and my husband.

Salaam. Thank you for expressing how you feel about hijab. Unfortunately so many people don't understand it, or the desire to want to do it. They also don't understand that Muslim women really do have rights and are treated well. Thanks for expressing that, even if you will get hateful responses. May Allah always be with you.

For you, hiding works. For women like me, however, if a man comments on my body I'm going to kick his stupid @$$ until he begs for mercy. For me *THAT* is liberating. I don't hide, I don't want to be a lazy, cared for female who's treated like a queen and can do nothing for herself. I like feeling pride in my accomplishments and being able to take care of myself without having to "obey" anyone but myself. So if you want to hide and that makes you feel liberated - good for you. But a lot of us don't feel that way. It goes against our very nature as dominant females. As a submissive female - your situtation works for you. So you have to understand that it's likely dominant women who think you're oppressed. Just tell them you like being a helpless submissive. Maybe they'll leave you alone. Live and let live.
