I am a dog breeder for many years of the chinese shar-pei they snore horribly... even the puppies snore!! and extremly loud , but not as loud as my husbad he takes the cake on the snorning. Like humans, however, dogs can suffer from sleeping disorders that range from snoring to narcolepsy. If your dog's snoring, it probably isn't anything to worry about. Dog snoring is most often caused by a small, harmless obstruction in the throat. also there is no real cure for a dog snoring unless the dog is snoring because of a health issue eg. allergies, obesity etc.alot of vets will suggest changing there doggy beds but some breeds are just prone to snoring kinda like people some do some dont..
check out this website ... hope iv'e helped.

All Bully breeds (Boxers, Bulldogs, Pekes etc) snore. There is nothing that you can do about it, especially if the dog sleeps with you or in the same room with you. You will have to learn to ignore it. Get some headphones and put on a cd and go to sleep that way. I disagree with Clintea, as dogs are a part of the family and should not be put in the yard.

I have a Catahoula Hound that snores louder than my husband does and I can usually roll her over and she's okay. It doesn't go away, but it does quiet down. Other than that, I don't think that there is anything to do. But good luck trying to find something.

In some breeds it is common, especially the short nosed ones. If you dog is a little bit overweighted this also increases the dogs difficulty to breath making his snoring louder.

Is it a Bulldog? I have had English Bulldogs and OMG!!! Yes they snore very loudly. There is nothing you can do. They are perfectly healthy. I now have American Bulldogs and they snore just not as loud.

my answer does not harm you or your dog dog snoring is perfectly normal. there are 3 very effective ways to deal with this.
1. learn to live with it
2. buy earplugs
3. make sure you are not in the same room

What kind of dog is it? Some breeds are predisposed to snoring especially the short nosed "bully" breeds. There really isn't anything you ca do about it.

Depends on the breed. My pug and most pugs have a snoring problem. I got her nostrils operated on to enlarge them so she can breathe better. They clit the sides and stitch upward to enlarge them slightly. It has cut down on the volume of her snoring but she still snores a little. But I think it is cute to watch her and my husband snuggle and both snoring. They kind of look alike (LOL)

I wish !!! My lab over the years has gotten worse & worse. He used to sleep in the bedroom with us, but the snoring has just gotten out of control. He now sleeps on a doggie bed in the kitchen & we close our bedroom door. I love him to death, but can't take that snoring !!! Same with a person, unless you put a sleep apnea mask on him, you'll just have to endure it. Me too though, so your not alone =)
