it totally depends.What situation you are dealing with?who is the person you are dealing with?are you ready to face consequences?who are dependent on you?
Don't fool yourself,analyse the situation then react.not always this philosophy pays.if the opposite person is totally inhuman he might not only hurt you but may even kill you.

If someone hit me on one side of my face, I would not turn the other cheek. I would jump on the creep, and fight him back. No way, no how. Don't care what it says in the bible. I wouldn't wait for the second smack.

It really depends. If you are willing to deal with the consequences of two bruised cheeks, then you are fine. BUT, if one bruised cheek is enough for you, then you need to speak up. That doesn't mean you punch back with equal venom, it just means you protect yourself.

Depends on the offender really, if he is no mood to quit hitting even your other cheek, then it is time to hit back hard...yeah !
