It is very hard to repeat but Jimmie has shown he is an annual contender since his 5th place (worst ever) finish his rookie season. Instead of the sophomore slump he placed 2nd that year and has always been there at the finish. He and Jeff are a couple of the best drivers and they obviously have awesome equipment and personnel working on their teams. Kyle has a ton of ability but still needs to learn when to back it off a little. Casey will be OK but not make the chase. Matt Kenseth is about as consistent as Jimmie and should be in the thick of things at the end. Stewart probably has as much, if not more driving talent than anyone else in the cup series but he is his own worst enemy. He did not make the chase last year and may not again this year if he doesn't learn to control his temper on the race track. I really think that Biffle and Edwards could be in the hunt at the end as well. Harvick, Burton and Bowyer (of RCR) may all make the chase but it is such a long season. In my opinion Hendrick has the best shot at it followed by Roush and RCR. Gibbs, Evernham and Penske round out the top 6.

I think you're right with RCR being the biggest threat to Hendrick for the title. Burton and Harvick have looked good these past two races. But the Hendrick team that looks the best to win is the 48 team. Kyle is too hot headed and is a few seasons off from cooling down and becoming a real threat. Gordon is always good but his team isn't supplying him with the best cars. This weekend the only reason Gordon finished 2nd is because they ran the 48's set up. So if we're just judging on the past two weeks, the 48 looks the best for Hendrick for another cup.
Also Adolf H... don't go around with that avitar and say your Hendrick fan let alone a 48 fan. It looks bad on 48 fans, Hendrick fans and NASCAR fans in general.

I'm a new fan to Narcar but from the exposure I've had, it seems that Hendrick is in a class by itself amongst owners. Gordon and Johnson may be the team's star drivers, but Busch could push them from the spotlight for awhile after he wins on his hometown track in Vegas.
The Car of Tomorrow may be the wild card in the rankings. Hendrick should have the advantage here too, but if another team has more success with the COT, they could become a threat. Yes RCR should be that threat, if anyone is, but I'm looking towards Joe Gibbs Racing because of the Yeley, Hamlin and Stewart teams.

HMS, is the best race team out there. I believe they have a great chance at a championship this year. Kyle, has a little growing up to do, but he is a good driver, needs more patience. Gordon, what can you say about Gordon; 4 time champ. will go down as one of the greatest drivers in stock car history. He is on the prowl this year for number 5. Jimmy Johnson, I don't think he can repeat this year, we will see. Mears, needs more time with the team. As far as Palmetto's response about Gordon using Jimmy's set up, well thats why they are a "TEAM". When Jimmy came into the league, he used all of Gordons previous year car's, thats why there is no "I" in "TEAM".

HMS certainly has a great chance for the champinship this year. it will be difficult for Jimmie to repeat, but he's capable, as is Jeff, who's due for a championship. same with Kyle, if he can be consistent enough. i would look for an up and down season for the 25 car, as always. the biggest threat to HMS winning the championship this year is either Tony, Harvick, or Kenseth.

I'd say Ginn has a good chance since they employ a large number of previous Hendricks guys. But you're right, Hendrick's is awesome.

I don't think it will be Johnson though, I would go with Kyle Busch. I think he is better than Johnson. (this year anyway). I think Johnson has other things on his mind other than racing this year, as well as the end of last yr. I think he just got lucky being in the lead in the end.
Thanks
