If it's still there after a day or two let the vet have a look. There may be something irritating the throat or it could be the beginning of kennel cough.

If the cough last them I would defiantly take her to the vet for a check up. Dogs can get little colds just like we can! Give it a day and seem how she is acting! If she seems to be getting sick take her in. if the cough gets worse take her in. She could have chewed on something and scraped her throat or it could be something worse. You are the best judge of your dog and only you can make the call weather it is vet time or not! If the cough last or gets worse I would take her in.

This may be a sign of atshma. My mother's dog is a purebred shih tzu and she has athsma after they had found out from the vet. I suggest you bring him to the vet and see what they can do to them. If there is money problems, just call and explain your problem. You can't put a price on love anyway!

it sounds like a kennel cough it can make your dog more sick if you dont take him in.

May be allergies or asthma...go to a vet.
