oh there are so many things that can happen so quickly.... I would suggest outlet covers, you may want to consider childproofing just one room that the children will be playing in and keeping a portable safety gate available to section off that room while the children are there. Make sure there are no medications, cleaning products, etc. around that a child could get into. If you are going to be cooking in the same room with the child(ren) make sure all pot / pan handles are turned in so that they cannot be grabbed. Any item that can fit inside of a toilet paper tube is considered a choking hazard for children that put items in their mouths. I could go on for hours lol but these are some of the more important ones off the top of my head. Good luck and Congrats on being responsible and making an effort to keep the kids safe!

1. Have all electrical outlets plugged with plastic thingies made JUST for this purpose.
2. Have safety clasps on all doors, cabinets that are child level....these clasps are also made especially for the protection of children.
3. Have all breakably items out of reach.
4. If you have a pet, best not to have kids in same area...they may hurt/bother the animal and not only provoke a reaction from the animal, but also possible harm to the "furry child."
5. Keep all sharp items...knives,scissors,etc. put away in an area not accessible to the child.
6. I would put plastic or vinyle protectors over the seat of a nice chair. Also, a placemat should be used, NOT a tablecloth that is a favorite of yours.
7. Keep ALL MEDICINES put away in a high cabinent, totally out of reach.
8. >>>>>>Have some age appropiate items there for the child to play with. You may want to have a plastic tablecloth on the floor or over a small table for them to do some fun project.<<<<<<<<

Have outlet covers for your electrical outlets, check to make sure that your household chemicals & medicines are put up so that young hands can't reach them. Make sure that all sharp objects (like knives) are put in drawers out of reach.

Outlets can be a problem, but I find my young ones getting into cupboards, etc. I have installed latches so they can't get into the cleaning supplies, etc.

Don't take your eyes off of them for even one second. They are faster than speeding bullets!
