I have Quiera ud. comprartela? (chaqueta) But this seems very wrong.

It's, "Quisiera Ud. comprarsela?" You've got it right, but the first word is either wrong or misspelled and in the contraction "comprartela", the middle part should contain the pronoun "se", therefore the contraction being "comprarsela", because you're using the word "usted", which means that you PERSONALLY do NOT know the customer or client outside of your place of business.

Quiere comprar la chaqueta? you can replace chaqueta with any other item. If the item is feminine keep "la" if its masculine replace it with "el". Hope this helps :)

esta chaqueta is feminine so you must use "la"
"te" is only with "tú", "usted" is more formal and you just have to put "comprarla" or even "comprarsela" (never comprartela)
and don't forget the two interrogation marks!
