They take a lot of time. Between exercise and training you will spend a lot of time with your dog, or should at least. They are expensive too, if cared for properly. Premium quality food and the vet care, including dental. Sheesh, I stay vet poor.

dogs are very hard to take care of because they demand love and care and will be very sad if there owner doesn't give them the attention they need (unlike cats, cats rather be away from you than be your friend). I have 3 dogs and every good dog owner knows that you and the dog get so attach that they become a part of the family. i have my dogs sleep in my bed and they sleep right against my back. i would not get a dog if you can't give it all the love it needs.

Not hard but it takes a lot of time and a whole lot of patience to have one. If you can not dedicate your time to train and give it the proper amount of attention and care than you shouldn't get one. Make sure you have the money for vet bills and food and such first too. So many animals do not get hte riht care becasue the owners didn't think of health care cost for them first. An emergency trip to the after hours pet ER can cost over $300. Be prepared read a book and don't rush in.

Umm, not only dogs are also hard to take care of there are few pets you also need to take care of the most. but if you re planning to get a dog ? then can be litte easlier to get a right dog cause some times you have to feed it and take it for walk so that the dog get some exersies , also have do pick up the dog poops and threw it away . you gotta also have do play with the dog , brush their coats , take them a bath when they get dirty . also having a dog can be fun but you needed to take it to the animals veterinary clinic to get dogs shots to keep them healthy and buy the stuffs for to the dog what he or she needed . its like take care of a child . but sometimes its good to train the dogs by teaching them some great tricks and also good train them to watch over the house or young children when there are dangrous coming to harm somebody else . and having a dogs can be part of youre best friends.

It may not seem like it, but yes, they are.

You have to walk them twice a day, feed them twice a day, brush them daily, clip their nails, bathe them every-so-often, train them (that's the hardest and most important part), socialize them with other people, make sure they're healthy, play with them and so on.

Also, you have to think of the costs, they add up you know. A good quality food can cost as much as $70 a month (depending on how much your dog eats).

You also have to get your dog spayed or neutered, get it it's shots every year, and be ready to pay $100+ every time you go to the vet, just for a check up.

Yes, it's true. It's love, not work.If you like your dog, you enjoy every seconds that you spend with your dog. You must do: 1.5 or 2 hours walking a day, feed them, take to the vet him regularly and play. It's a very good game, not a work!

If it is youre first dog, then sort of. It would be great if you had someone to help you raise it too :)

PS. If it is a first dog, DONT get a rottweiler, because they can grow up to be agressive if you dont give them the right care!

Yes they are a lot of work, daily. You have to have the time and make the commitment out of love, or dont get a dog. Daily walking, feeding and attention.

They're a lot of work, especially if you start out with a puppy. They're like children...in need of attention, training, feeding, cleaning up after, if a puppy, they wake up in the middle of the night to go out frequently, take them to the vet, take them out for walks, socialization, everything you can think of...they're a handful, but the best ever!! Do your homework before you get one.
