Depends on your state?

Go to your local phone directory or online community health directory and look up non profit mental health.

I worked for non profit mental health for a long time and it is a fantastic way to get the medication and the therapy you need at a sliding scale fee or even for free depending on your income.

The prescription companies will also help you get your medications for free through their programs which are brand specific as far as guidelines and expectations go. Paxil is the easiest to get but has the most detailed application and they ask the most questions. At least it was when I was in that field? Things may have changed? They always do...

If they do not have sliding scale mental health facilities in your state. If you can manage the doctors bill for a visit... Usually if you bring the application with you and send in the prescription to the company with a downloaded application (follow the guidelines and answer all questions honestly and exactly as stated) and they will send you the medications to your home or doctors office.

More important than the money, is getting her the help she needs As Soon As Possible! Without warning she can come rapidly to a point of crisis - and she just may harm or kill herself, regardless of what she says today. Please don't wait.

This would be considered an emergency.
You can get help through calling 911
A Suicide/Crisis Hotline (call the operator or look in phone book)
Call or go to nearest hospital ER (they will charge you)
Call local Mental Health / Behavioral Health Center
Call to speak with a Minister
If she is enrolled in a school, there would be a School Counselor or Student Health Center

Any or all of these can direct you to appropriate help she needs.

she isn't considering suicide, she's crying for help! get her help anyway you can. ask her what SHE needs and do your best to give it to her. if she needs to tlak, then be there to really listen. check your phone books for free/cheap healthcare in youur area. is there a reason she's depressed? try solving that if you can. a healthy diet and excercise are ALWAYS helpful as well. try that too!
