A while back I posted a question about my 7 puppies. I have not been successful in giviing them away. On three seperate occasions, the dog catcher has been to my house concerning the many animals that I have been stuck with. On the last two visits, I asked him to take them. But he didin't. On the last visit, he was also accompanied by the Mayor. I have been very upset at the responsibility I have been stuck with. I have called my deadbeat Husband many times telling him to come and get his dog.
Now, Saturday, a thunderstorm rolled into town, so I brought all the dogs inside. Three hours later, the dog catcher pulls up in my drive way and just sits there. A few minutes later he leaves.
A few minutes ago, I spotted him walking his dog behind my house, and looking at the two dogs in the pen.
I am bothered by all this?
Okay, go ahead and make your jokes at me. Maybe I am being paraniod. You tell me?

For Fisherwoman, and bluebonnetgranny; I have no reason to lie about something like this. The Mayor was there, and my children. I told them to take them and they chose not too. bluebonnetgranny, check your email.

These puppies are lab/shepherd mix
I have 6-males,1-female. 2-cream colored, 1-brown, 1-that looks like an alaskan husky, 2-brown/black (look more like shepherd), 1-looks like a rottwieler.

Yet another good reason to spay/neuter our pets. Did you know very few of the dogs born ever get a permanent home?

First off they cannot legally enter your property unless you OK it. A court order would be different but they are violating their own rules and regs.
If you have too many dogs and can't even get Animal Control to take them what do they look like?
This is why so many people are against Back Yard Breeders, so many dogs that already don't have homes, dying every minute of the day and you are producing more. Where is the logic in this?
You are not someone to make jokes about, you are someone that should be pitied. Ignorance.

Unless there is a law in your town that specifies the number of dogs you're allowed to have in your residence, or unless the dogs are undernourished, it sounds like harrasment. Put an ad on Petfinder.com and take an adorable picture of them. If you give them to the dog catcher, they'll likely be put to sleep rather than adopted. Many animal control facilities can only keep animals for 10 days before they're euthanized.

What is his reason for trespassing on your property? I would be upset as well, and you have every reason to be. If I were you I would file a herassment charge against him. Now, for the puppies...What kind and how old are they and is there a fee? I am looking for one for me. Where are you from and is there a way to see pics of them? If you want to contact me regarding this, my email is bridgie7470@yahoo.com. I am serious about this...I'm not one of those who says they have the room for one, and never gives contact info. Back to the dog catcher. Why is he bringing the Mayor into this? They must be in cahoots with this. Talk to an attourney about it. I think your privacy is being violated!

WOW he sounds like a stalker. Unless he is really concerned about you and the dogs that is just weird and not normal.
BTW.. What kind of dogs are you trying to get rid of and what state you live in. Maybe I could add another dog to my family. Always looking for another animal to love. Post on question and I will read.

Sounds like harassment to me. No animal control or HS person would act that way. File harassment charges with the city and name the officer and the MAYOR.

Can you call a local humane society or rescue organization to come take the pups if you are not able to care for them? Did the animal control person state why he wouldn't take the dogs?

That's definently harrassment. You should complain to him that unless he is going to do something, to stop coming around all together. Even though he may say that he is doing his job, that is not in his job description. You should file a complaint to his supervisor or somebody. The only way to stop harrassment is to ask for it to stop. Otherwise he won't get the picture. Good Luck!

That's harrassment. No animal control people normally act that way.
File a complaint. Hire a lawyer and see if anything can be done about the harrassment, your husband, and the dogs.
