There is no real method of preventing stretch marks but there are ways to keep them from being really bad use cocoa butter it has a natural skin elasticity to it which will help alot St Ives has a lotion out that is especially for skin elasticity and I believe there is a body wash as well. And if you do end up w/a few or alot of stretch marks the best thing to use is Mederma.

I used Palmers cocoa butter 2 times a day when I was pregnant with my first son. The first 71/2 months went great no strech marks then the baby started growing faster and my skin didn't keep und now I have them. Creams and lotions help with moisterizing the skin but that is about it. If you are predetermined to get them you will. After pregnancy there are some ointments that you can use to reduce the appearance of them. Oh and another thing try to avoid massive weight gain. Say if you just gain 35 pounds you may not get them but gain 60 you will. Just keep a healthy weight in check.

You can moisturize the area after bathing to keep the skin elastic. But, frankly, most women get stretch marks with pregnancy. They will be less noticable and smaller after you deliver, but they won't go away. Price we pay for children. Godloveya.

Lotions and creams will only soothe and moisturize your skin and help prevent itching, but if your Mom and Sister got stretch marks when they were pregnant, then you'll get them too. It's hereditary.
