Rottweilers Need no training for that. If you are wise you will just give it lots of love. and teach it to get along with other people. Rottweilers are smarter than a lot of people I have known. If you invite someone into your house and you own a "very gentle" Rottweiler, that person better have a good heart, with good intentions. If not that dog will evict them. If someone attacks you or your family That dog may kill them if you don't get him stopped in time. What rotties don't know is about law.

You shouldn't even attempt it.
In England you'd have to register an attack trained dog, you need a handlers license, and your dog has to sleep in a kennel in your garden. He can't protect you from there.
Most dogs will defend their owners, the biggest problem with a Rott is more likely to be can you control your dog enough to stop it once it gets going?
Get some of those stickers that say I Live Here with a picture of a Rott on and put them on your windows.
I know thats not what you want to hear but anyone can ruin your dog with fake attack training, so please don't go ahead with this.

You cannot do this. you could end up with trouble on your hands. Say you and the kids were play fighting and she thought they were attacking you. That is the one reason people like you should not have these dogs as you give them a bad name.
Since you already have one. The shear breed and size will be a deterent against any would be attackers and the dog would protect its family anyway. It would be really irresponsible of you to train or keep a dog that you could not control and or one that was trained to attack. That dog is apowerful machine.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/H6FOU

By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.

To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

You won't need to train.Rottweilers are a protective breed,if she senses you are in danger she will go for whatever the threat is. Your main problem will be getting her away from an intruder before she kills him/her.

My friend experienced this when his normally lovely rottie thought a repair man was an intruder-if the guy hadn't been up a ladder he'd have been in big trouble.

You don't need to. Just having a rottwieler will keep most people away. Other than that, you want to train him to be friendly, confident and outgoing. That way you can have him with you at all times, instead of locked away becase he's too risky to have around people. If you've got a well-bred specimen who loves your family he doesn't need to be trained to defend you in an emergency, he will do it.

Take your Rottweiler to proffesional dog trainer.
You might be able to train the dog yourself, or have someone train it, and it will attack, but you might not be able to call the dog off when it attacks, or it might attack when it should not .
You cannot afford an accident.

I would be careful when training your dog...you wouldn't want her/him to attack YOU or your children if provoked...you're better off having your dog be a sweetheart, but even sweet dogs can protect you, without being trained to...it's an instinct for them to protect their family.
