The middle name will either be Daniel or Michael after my cousin who passed away and I was really close to. Any other suggestions for first names are welcome, I'm so confused!

I think it's adorable. I've always liked the name Harrison, but it quickly went out of the running when we were picking a name for our son. First, my boyfriend wasn't all too crazy about it. Second, it's the name of the closest town to us, and my parents live in West Harrison. And third, I couldn't stand the idea of my son's nickname becoming 'Harry'.
If you both like it, and you don't live near a town called Harrison, then I would definately go ahead an use it, but insist from day 1 that his name is NOT Harry. My mom did that with my brother's name, Jacob, because she didn't like the nickname 'Jake'.

I think Harrison Daniel is a fantastic name. However, you might want to consider Michael Harrison..that too works i think.

When you pick a name, stop and consider all of the nicknames. If you have no problem with the child being called Harry the rest of his life, then by all means. Harrison is a lovely name, but chances are that he'll be called Harry.

I love the name Harrison, but hate the nickname Harry. I think in picking a name, you also have to be ok with any nicknames that may come along with it.

It's a great name. Harrison is a name that seems to be quite popular right now, but if that is not a concern then you should go for it.
