I have found that vaseline is perfect for the winter months if it's used directly after your bath. It will "lock-in" the moisture and keep those elbows, heels and cuiticles nice and soft. I usually put on socks after I "grease" my feet. Using a humidifier also helps as well as drinking a lot of water. Godloveya.

Drink water, keep harsh winds away from skin, keep covered up while outside. Lotion your skin 2 -3 times daily. Use a body wash that is specially made to hydrate or moisturize your skin, also use moisturizing shave lotions.

I use olive oil in the shower. Rub it on while you are still wet and let it sit a minute or two before toweling dry. By doing this I only need to use lotion on my hands during the day.

Exfoliate. God I hate winter. It's not enough to scrub your face but you must moisturize it too.
I bought this gummy stuff, some dead sea product from a kiosk in Tennessee, and it's been amazing. You put a few blobs of it on your face and rub and it just peels off all the dead skin...kind of comes off like a rubbery substance and I just splash water and it's smooth as silk. Of course I have to moisturize too.
But I think the secret is just exfoliate and moisturize. I prefer those huge sized washcloths for the shower...they work best, and a foot stone too and scrub, scrub, scrub.
Baby oil is probably the best but I just used coconut oil on my limbs because I like the scent.

Try a light coating of baby oil after each shower/bath. It is better than lotions...mainlly because most lotions have perfumes in them and this is a drying factor in lotions. Try it, I think you will see a difference. Good Luck

use a very mild baby soap or use soap only on the areas of real need if youre showering once or twice a day. use more lotions after bathing. dont scratch your itchy dry skin....spray on some 'dermoplast' that may have a topical antiseptic/anibiotic and some contain a topical pain reliever. peace

Use a humidifier, don't have the house too hot. drink plenty of liquids preferably water and also splash cold water on your face. If your hands are terribly dry try applying vaseline and wearing white gloves over them when you sleep.during the day use creams with lanolin and aloe for moisturizers.

Vaseline or baby oil. If you have problems that don't go away--cracked bleeding skin for over a month, see a doctor for a steroid cream.
