Even being a #24 fan, I love Dale Jr. too! Jr. has always been honest, straight talking and responsible to himself and his teammates. He works hard to be the best he can be. But now the DEI team is not supporting him the way they need to. So it is now time to move on. And what better place to go than to Hendrick for the following reasons:

1. Jr can have a dedicated org. that will help him be the best driver he can be.

2. He can help raise Nascar to a higher level of community and help eliminate the current racial and cultural divides.

3. Jr. can escape his Dad's legacy and create his own, as he should.

4. Jr. can help show, thru his current friendships with black and hispanic people, that race has no place in this world.

5. Jr. can rely on the other Hendrick teammates to follow his lead and make the sport of racing, INCLUSIVE to EVERYONE!

Come on Jr. !! Show the world the leader that you are and help change Nascar, and many other people for the Better! Love U Man !!

The basic problem with your idea is that Dale, Jr. already has everything he wants as a driver at DEI. What he wants is an controling interest in DEI. His step mom is being an @$$. His dad wanted to give Junior the operation when he retired. Unfortunately, he died before retiring.

Dale belongs at DEI. DEI belongs to Junior...not his step mom!!

I think I would jump off the Hendrick Wagon if that happened.. And not only because I don't root for Jr! The Earnhardt legacy and story has alot of parts with Hendrick in it, almost like a unwrote rivalry. I just wouldn't want to see that end. Second, Jeff Gordon is the top man @ Hendrick.. That won't change. Bringing in Dale Jr would definately change that scenario all around! And I really think the fans would vanish if Dale Jr was teammates with Gordon, Johnson, and Busch! Dale Jr fans don't really like those guys.. I don't know about Mears yet. In the end, I thank god that there is NO WAY this will ever happen. Dale Jr needs to sign with RCR, or Yota if he decides to leave DEI.. Which he won't do anyways!

And to Mr. G.. You are wrong buddy! DEI DOES BELONG TO TERESA.. There lies the problem.

Jr. could go to Hendrick but that wouldnt help numbers 2-5 on your list. Jr. switching teams wouldnt help Nascar reach a higher level of community or eliminate any racial or cultural divides, it takes more than a guy jumping ship to help overcome 60 years of percieved racism. Jr will never escape his dads shadow, thats his measuring stick to be honest. Just like any other racing family like the Pettys, Andrettis, Unsers, and the Foyts your measured by the past generations of racers in your family, thats how it is. Showing people that race has no place in the world cant be taken up by a person who doesnt want to take it up. Sometimes you have to have an army behind you and on both sides of the fence it just wont happen. Jr does enough work as it is now, and if he wanted to take it up he would have by this time in his life. Hendricks already has 2 superstars and really isnt going to be looking for another one, if Jr goes somewhere maybe he should go to Gibbs him and Stewart already work together on the track and are good friends off the track, or he should go to RCR.

Equality issues have to be taken up by everyone not just one driver, although its a nice thought. The miniority community will have to show interest in Nascar before Nascar starts throwing themselves all over them. Nascar though is holding Busch races in Mexico so there you have that.

I am not real sure this was a question, mostly an opinion. However, Jr would be crazy to go with Hendrick. He is a top name driver with a HUGE fan base. Why would he go somewhere to compete with other top name drivers ? As far as DEI is concerned. With SR being gone JR IS DEI. I don't blame him one bit for wanting the biggest piece of the business that he himself has been carrying since his father died. He is the racer of the family so he should have control.

I too am a Gordon and JR fan. I don't think we will see JR move to HMS. JR needs to resolve the issues with Theresa, and get controlling percentage in DEI, and get the respect of the DEI organization he deserves. He deserves respect as an owner, not just a driver!! Dale JR will get his wish, and JR will stay with the company his Dad built, and make it a race team to be feared by other teams, just as his Dad wanted. All of this uneasyness within the DEI organization is going to hurt that team this year, I really believe. If JR gets his way, I think you will see a totally different team come 2008. JR will win his first Championship in 2008 if he gets controlling percentage in the company and runs it his way.

While I don't think DEI was ever meant to be Jr's (Dale had several kids, some far closer to Dale Sr. than Jr ever was), you can't blame him for trying. DEI is not much without Jr.
Having said that... what the h*@* with all the racial stuff. You lost me there.

You have many things wrong in your perspective. Dale Earnhardt Jr will never race for that crappy company. For starters Jimmie knocks him out of the race because he is winning. DEI is trying to make everything right. Teresa just wants to never work and own DEI.

Jr wants things to work at DEI, he doesn't WANT to leave. And if it actually came down to him feeling he has to leave, he would go straight to Richard Childress Racing. So I don't think you're plan/idea will ever be reality.

And to what Mr. G said....you're right.....although right now Jr is not the owner, it's meant for him. Dale Sr started DEI for his children, he wanted the business to be for them, and was going to have them take over, thats why he started it.
