Will turn to GOD based upon a major catastrophe to hit the World
1. An Asteroid
2. A Nuclear War
3. A global Climatic Event
4. The Angles opening the skies?

Do you think Atheists are just playing a silly game to act the way they want, but when they know the end is near they will beg for God to forgive them?

I don't believe Atheists are kidding. I believe they are sadly deceived. They think that "God believers" are just ignorant. When you were younger and you and a friend got into an argument and you just KNEW you were right? When your friend eventually found out the truth, you felt overwhelmed with satisfaction? In this case, I will not feel satisfaction. Just sad.

No, and really your question is rather silly. If we all really did believe, and we knew that we're going to die someday wether there was a catastrophe or not, what logical reason would there be for pretending to not believe? It wouldn't fool a god, and it would only hurt us later.

Atheists are people who truly lack a belief in any supreme beings. It's not something they cn change or choose, it is just part of their nature. It would be like asking you if you would turn to the true god Zeus in the event of a catastrophe. Silly question, right? Now you know how you sound to us.

On a side note, you did have one nugget of interest in there, the angels opening up the sky. Now, if you could actually see the angels with the naked eye, and everyone was seeing the angels and could agree that they were all seing the same thing, then an atheist may have to rethink their position on the supernatural, because that could be considered compelling evidence. But, then again, you would have to confirm that they are supernatural, and that they aren't life forms that inspired the myth to begin with, and then confirm that they work for a god, and which one. It would be a big task, especially in the midst of a cataclysm, so I guess even that would have a hard time of swaying anyone into belief.

Oh, and a question to "John P" who posted above. What have you got against satin? It's just a fancy silk weave. My wife has a satin robe, and she finds it really comfy and smooth on her skin. It has never tried to tell her to do anything bad, though it is a pain to launder.

Could you possibly be confusing it with satan, the mythical lord of the underworld? If so, it doesn't lend a lot of credibility to your position when you can't even correctly spell the names of the dieties you believe in.

If you did mean satin, then it sounds like you have a phobia that has yet to be diagnosed (a fear of smooth shiney cloth), and you could get in all the major psychiatric journals.

Unfortunately atheists insist they are right until the bitter end. Then their end is very bitter. Then they would have wished that they had more time to turn their life around.

I feel sorry for atheists, I really do. They have no idea what evil has done, or has been done to them because they are such easy prey. The lies they truly believe that there is no God, is exactly what Satin tells them. Satin preys on unbelievers to believe in nothing. His rational is, logic, and false truths.

Most of these people who read these things are young, not many have had a Spiritual blessing. Those that have, end up being Godly people. It is so sad, but true when the rapture actually comes, it would be unbelievable that anything really happened. Imagine, you have denied Christ, laughingly, you step out of the coffee shop and got run over by a truck. Standing before God now...he asks you one question. Why should I let you into my heaven. There is no one there to defend you. Your accuser, Satin tells God how evil and veil you really are. All the sins you have committed. Oh yes, Satin is relishing in your sin before God. All you would have had to do, was except Christ as your personal Savior, and he would have defended you. He would have taken your sin away from you. Because you have refused, there is no doubt, hell is waiting for you the unbeliever.

Numbers 1-3 would merely prove that there could not possibly be a God if he has let something so terrible happen.

Number 4 I believe you mean "angels" and if there are angels, then that gives some proof of God, eh? So I'd have to reconsider my position.

In the meantime, if God never shows up, doesn't stop horrible things from happening, and refuses to prove his existence, will you give up the silly God idea since there is no evidence to support it?

I think what they believe is up to them. I do believe in God because I know of this Higher Power. Nothing is likely to change their minds because their minds are closed to the powers of God.

Their thinking is "you can fool some people sometime, but you can't fool all the people all the time". With the exception of my mother, I have never met an atheist who wasn't militantly opposed to all religion and any discussion and practice of it. That is my experience. I am not against an individual's view but do not agree. Nobody should have to change his or her ways to accommodate someone who calls religion intolerant but is intolerant of religion.

These are the people who flip over Christmas decorations and demand they be taken down. I get the people who want a menorah and some Hanukkah celebrations in public. Why should that bother me? They don't say, "Take down that cross and tree or else, I will sue!"

Or perhaps if religionists realise the reality is that life for many people is brutal and painful they'll come to question the idea of a loving God?

1. No
2. No
3. No
4. Can't happen. There are no angles. And what is the sky going to open into? The sky does not open and close like a door.

Theists often shoot themselves in the foot like this by implicitly admitting that religious belief requires fear or some other irrational motivation, rather than being the product of intelligent thought.

i think nothing will make them beleive in god except if god decided to guide them to the straight path again. they want to ghet life easy, but im sure its not easy to be aimless in this world, and they are the best people to know that.
it feels empty
id rather beleive that i will spend an endless life in heaven after i spent a tuff life like this one. but if they wanna have a temporary happiness then they must have their own reasons.

If I see angels open the skies, then maybe that'll convince me. Until then, I'm not going to try to rely on magic to save me from asteroids or global climatic events. However, SCIENCE might be able to do something to help us there...I'll look to the scientists, thanks.
