Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and [with] fire

Sorry hun, The thief on the cross was not Baptised. Yet Jesus said to him, "This day shall you be with me in Paradise!"
Baptism (water baptism) is an outward sign of an inward change. You go down a dry sinner and come up a wet one. The water does NOT wash away your sins. That was done by the Blood of Jesus. "The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin" A L L! Sorry none left for baptismal water or traditions. Why did Jesus do it -get Baptised- He said, "It behooves us.." I believe: because He also was going through an outward show. No longer a carpenters son but beginning His ministry as the Son of God. He had to SHOW everybody; it "Behooved" Him. It DIDN'T make Him able to "see the Kingdom of God". He WAS and IS the kingdom of Heaven.
PLEASE don't let some people's churchy doctrines govern your life! Read the Bible for yourself! Nobody can read it for you it's your responsibility. Then you'll know what's true and what's not!
If it's not true, then what IS it? See, you're getting smart already!
Jesus never said anything about having to get baptised, but he did say something about receiving it as a little child. And having a pure heart, and being born again. (See Matthew 5-7)
The question is NOT whether or not you gotta get baptised in water (Though it's a VERY died-in-the-wool doctrine of SO MANY churches), the question is what do you do after you get back up OUT of the water. Do you live a completely new life, with completely new people, in a completely different place. If NOT, it was probably JUST a show, like I said. That's what THEY did, all of them-lived a new different life; that's what being born agian is all about. But you know that! Read the book of John, and the Book of Acts. That's how they lived! What's the matter with US?

It is true, because it was said by the Lord Jesus Christ to Nicodemus (John 3:1-5), but it is not to all, it is for those who have known the teachings and the doctrines of Christ. But for those who did not have the chance to hear and believe the doctrines of Christ, God has a way for them to be save or see the kingdom of heaven. just like the thief in the cross (Luke 23:39-43), he did not have the chance to be baptized because he is nailed at the cross, but Jesus Christ promised him that He will be with him in Paradise. and also we must understand that the doctrine of baptism began at the time of John the baptist. How abot the people who lived befor John the Baptist, do they have the chance to see the kingdom of heaven? GOD's salvation is very vast... from generation to generation (Isa. 51:8).
But for us, who have heard the Bible and have known the doctrine of baptism, we must be born again, be baptized. But the question is, WHERE SHOULD WE BE BAPTIZED? WHO WILL BAPTIZE US? Because according to the Bible (Matt. 24:4-5) there will be DECEIVERS, using the name of Christ...
BE CAREFUL (1 John 4:1).

The thief on the cross was not baptized, but Jesus promised him a place in His kingdom because he believed.
I believe there are situations that can occur where baptism is impossible, so lack of baptism would not prevent the person from being accepted into heaven.
That said, it is a sign of acceptance and belief (done by Jesus Himself as our example) so if a person chooses not to follow the path that God has chosen then there is a conflict which God will be judge over. If it is a matter of pride then definitely there can be no entrance to heaven.

I believe being baptized should have no bearing on whether you can watch a movie or not. I am an atheist and although i was baptized when i was a child i no longer follow any religion. I watched kingdom of heaven and absolutely loved it.

Being baptized does not get you to Heaven. You must be saved, by the Grace of God. Salvation, through the Blood of Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Baptism is a symbolic act taken to publically affirm your faith in Christ. It is not demanded.
Being born again (as stated in the book of John) can be done by other means, such as openly expressing your faith to others. Being born again is a call to turn away from your wicked lifestyle. Nechademus wasn't baptised by he believed in Jesus enough to seek him in shame.

As I understand it, It is said that "He who believes shall be saved". I don't remember anything about having to do anything else.

Relieved that I renounced my infant baptism.
I certainly do not want to spend eternity with your "God".
