Yes, it's called a nerve conduction test. Not the most pleasant thing to have done, but it is minimally invasive.

The do it with electrodes, its very painfull, you need to go to a nerve specialist.
They send current trough your arm and measure the result comming into you fingers, only 2 major nerves come into youre hand, I have one jammed in my elbow.
My left pink shakes sometime none controlled by me, its small but I notice it, also pain takes longer to register, lol.
Best is to get it checked, could also be temporary till youre wound is healed ??
Anyway good luck, hope its not to severe.

yes they insert a probe in your shoulder area and another in your wrist hand area
then they run a small current and see if the electric follows the nerve
normally a voltae of lets say 1 amp will go to hand at about 1 amp
but in a damaged nerve not all will go
slightly uncomforatble but its a diagnostic tool

hit it with a hammer. If it doesn't hurt, you have nerve damage. Actually, after you hit it with a hammer, you almost certainly have nerve damage.
Seriously, though, there are tests that a doctor can perform. They need to determine if the problem is muscular, neural, or other. Your general practitioner should be able to perform them, although depending on the results they may send you to a specialist.

Yes- Check the local phone book- or if you have insurance check with your provider. A neorologist is who can perform the test. It doesn't hurt, I'm teriffied of needles and it didn't hurt me. Just the twitching was weird feeling. Good luck and hope no perminante damage.

yes they send electricity down your arm to test certain nerves.
I had it done before. its kind of invasive, but the electricity part doesn't hurt that much. Its just all the sticking of needles in you.
