I am getting new growth and its really curly. I have always had my hair short but I am finally growing it out and it actually has a bit of wave to it. Just enough that it looks like I haven't brushed my hair. I really want to get my hair to go striat. My hair is also really thick so it would take me over a hour to striat iron it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Adapt your hair to a less-than-daily schedule once it grows out. Longer hair doesn't need the daily washing shorter hair does, especially if it's curly/frizzy.

Get a round brush and a blowdryer. When you do wash it, blow-dry it with the round brush, getting the brush underneath each section of hair and using the dryer above. (You may need to take a visit to a proper salon and watch them do it.) Additionally, it will take longer than you think to dry it - 'overdry' it, because that's what they do at salons.

Various products are also available. I used to use something from the Body Shop that was solid coconut oil, but it's not available anymore; now I use a few drops of plain, scented oil when I need to. If you do go to a salon (really, I recommend it), they'll have advice on leave-in conditioners to put in your hair after you towel-dry it.

There is a pretty good frizz control by Aussie. Also go to a salon and see what they recommend. Accept that you have curly hair and go with it. Also there is a curl definer by Matrix in a green jar that smells awesome!

Okay there's only 2 ways that I actually heard that works...but unless you like mayo I would advise the other....

Just use the conditioner used when you die your hair. It's great. It always works with mine..=D

Other than that I heard that you can take mayo and egg white and mix them together in a bowl..then massage it into your hair..{sounded kind gross to me..so I didn't try it}
