I love animals. and i generally have mutts. and i love them!
i don't know exactly what to get.
i walk daily and don't mind weekly gooming. have a big un-fenced yard.
i'm torn and don't know what kind to get?!?

I wouldn't recommend a small dog. 1 because they are hard to house train and 2 because they probably don't walk as fast as you. I would recommend a medium to large size dog. As far as that goes, a Labrador would suit you well. Preferably a black lab, through my own experience having 2 chocolates and 2 blacks. The chocolates are hyper and the blacks are more laid back. I would not however get any type of Husky, Malamute, or Akita. They are roamers and you would have to fence in your yard. Hopefully I was helpful...

Since you do not have a fenced yard, you should probably have a small short haired house dog. Dog's don't like be chained up.
Be careful of other dogs coming on your property to mess with your little dog. Also, your little dog should be watched so it doesn't run around and get hit by a car.

I think that the best dog to have is maby a shitshoe. My uncle had one and she was very mellow and she loved to go on walks and the may need to be rushed like every week. And then my grandma got one and she was so cutt and she loved to go on walks as well. You could also get like a german shepered if you like big dogs. I had one once and she ran away but she loved to go on walks and she would always sleep by me and those dogs are like protectors they love kids to if you have any in your family.

I have a Cocker Spaniel that is the best house dog! She is very calm, only barks if a stranger is outside, great with kids and staying in the house alone. I would never get any other breed.

I always say a Boxer. They are great with cats, kids, other dogs, and absolutely love to cuddle. They are low maintence grooming, like to excercise but aren't fanatical... and train very easily. Good Luck!

get a golden retriever, they are loving, well trained, obedient dogs. They are the nicest to every one and you won't be disapointed. They will love you forever, and they are the best dogs you can have.

Ive always loved big dogs and sounds like you can manage one, like a retreiver.

We've mostly had mutts, but of the purebreds we've had.. I'd say American Bulldog or Saint Bernard. :)
