Or at least that's what my grandpa used to tell me when I was a kid lol..
And yeah if you swallow air.. It won't vanish.. Evenutally it'll escape and it has two ways.. Up or down! =p

yes, actually the largest volume% of a fart is swollowed air, the smaler % is decomposing food matter, the less smelly a fart the larger the swolowed air%, the smellier the fart the higher the decomposed food gas % , its highly variable, thats why sometimes farts smell really bad and sometimes they dont.
