Well, I think in most cases suicide is a decision made in error. Mostly it's thinking clouded by despair and pain, but I don't think it's really selfish and I don't see it as 'wrong'. It just isn't what the person really wanted most times; they were caught up in their emotions of the moment. I personally think homicide is by far more selfish; to torture/kill someone other than yourself, to decide when someone else lives or dies, that is a pinnacle of selfishness. But I think other people should have the right to take their OWN lives if it can't be avoided.
I also think it's very selfish to expect someone to hang around this world when they're in agony just because that person/people want them there.

Everybody has an opinion of how somebody else should run their life.
I think more people should run their own lives instead of interferring or trying to tell others how to run their lives.
Suicide is not easy. That is why so many people don't actually go through with it and it becomes just a cry for help.
Those who are not terminally ill will tell you it is not the right decision, but ask those who are terminally ill.
I can't blame a person for comitting suicide.

We are all terminally ill coz we are all gonna die one day. We know that but we don't tend to believe it. Now if your logic is that since I am gonna die, might as well now, we all should die right now and call it good. Say you got cancer, do you think the next funeral you go to must be your own? I would rather know that I am terminally ill before I die than to just die in an accident, or say a heart attack, a stroke, like my father. Think of all the time you get to say good bye to everyone. It's nothing more than a friendly reminder of your time running out and you better do what you need to. But isn't everyone's time is running out?

I don't think suicide is ever the answer to any problem. There are some many different types of resources one can find to help with whatever a person might be going through.

If the question is "Can I die?", sure...
Personally, I don't see it like selfishness, rather like the worst stadium of despair.
For terminally ill persons there are much gentle ways to end...

suicide is never the answer no matter if your terminally ill or not.
God has your days numbered and will have you spend eternity with Jesus on his timing. It's not the answer to take one's life no matter what the circumstances are.

OKAY IT IS NEVER THE ANSWER. THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT CARE ABOUT THEM AND THEY ARE SO SELFISH THAT THEY TAKE TTHE EASY WAY OUT. ENDING THEIR LIFE WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT SOLVE NOTHING. I LOST MY DAD A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO IN A REALLY BAD CAR CRASH THAT WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS IN MY LIFE AND THEN 2 YEARS LATER I HAD A MISCARRIAGE 3 MONTHS ALONG I DIDNT GO OUT AND KILL MYSELF. WHAT IS SO WRONG IN THEIR LIVES THAT THEY MUST END IT? IT MAKES ME WONDER. THIER ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO ARMS OR LEGS OR ARE DYING OF CANCER AND THEY DEAL WITH WHAT GOD GAVE THEM BECAUSE THATS LIFE.
