Basically I want to know if a nondrinker gets high at the same rate as a heavy drinker. I was thinking that a heavy drinker has more tolerance to alcohol than a non drinker, therefore they get high slower. Anyone have a link or scientific evidence that supports or does not support my idea?

Alcoholics/heavy drinkers have a higher tolerance than non-drinkers. You must have heard the term "drink you under he table?" It relates to the drinker's ability to consume more than the non-drinker.

A heavy drinker builds up a tolerance to alcohol so can take more before he becomes drunk. A non drinker will not tolerate very much at all. This is not totally scientific, but experience in watching and being with people.

First of all, when you drink, you get buzzed or drunk, not HIGH!!! The longer you drink, the more it takes to get that buzz and keep it going. A non drinker well, a half a can of beer they could be passed out while someone who is used to drinking is just getting started. One more thing, alcohol is a downer not an upper. Drinking is very addictive and ruins lives of your family, friends, and stranger across the mapp, don't be one.

It doesn't depend on your experience. It all depends on the person's mood (you get drunk a whole lot faster when you're down), built (heavier people tend to tolerate more), the kind of drink (there's certain drinks that people "get along with", and some that they don't), and a lot of other things, except experience.

And so some distance, my significant reason has in basic terms been the reality that i don't like it. i've got long previous out of my thank you to objective different distinctive drinks (wine, not basic liquor, beer, blended drinks) and each thing i've got tried, i've got gagged on. and that i determine, why hassle weening myself onto something that gets me into hassle that i don't even like? i'm high-quality with settling for a soda (i come across it tastier, extra economical, and that i'm the only that gets to keep in mind anybody else making fools of themselves mutually as THEY drink!)
