I'm not a fashionista, and would rather spend fortunes romancing my girlfriends but I believe I need a level of sartorial grace. Within a budget what do you like. I can't wear suits - they make me look like a shop dummy.

That really depends on the type of girl you go for really. Don't worry about not being a fashionista - I think men who try too hard to look trendy often get it really wrong and put girls off.
The key things for me in a man is someone who looks like he takes care of his grooming as far as being clean - i.e. washes his hair more than once a week and has clean clothes that have been ironed.
Plain and simple can often be a safe bet - so start with a pair of decent jeans and build your outfit around that.
To be honest, women are more concerned with personality, humour, and the way you treat them than whether you're wearing the latest prada ensemble.
So long as you don't look like the littlest hobo and your appearance doesn't prevent you from getting into that nice restaurant you want to take her to I should think you'll be fine.
H&M is a great place to look in UK and Europe - they do a wide-range of men's clothing from the latest looks to more simple smart-casual items and are pretty reasonably priced too.

Okay, what I've noticed is that guys like the baggy jeans. they're okay, but girls like to look at guys' butts just like u do to us. Semi-baggy, a little below the belt-line shirts, normal tennies, and a dress jacket to go with it. I'd like to see a guy walking around liek that. Plus they sell most of that stuff in Wal-mart and shopko. Just let the jeans be kinda baggy at the bottom, but show off the butt

just ware black when you are romancing her because it is a very mysterious color and it is a very big turn on when on guys. just get a nice button up top and nice black pants. though a big no no is when you button up your top all the way, don't do it leave at least 1 or 2 buttons undone. also ware a belt and nice dress shoes. good luck.how ever if your eye color is blue or green get a shirt that goes with your eyes if you don't want to ware all black, but ware the black pants period.

nice pair of jeans with comfortable yet smart looking shoes,wear a shirt not buttoned to the top with a t-shirt underneath, smart but casual every woman will love it as it shows you like to be comfortable but are willing to make an effort too!

I'm 35 - I like men in semi-loose (comfortable) jeans- blue, polo shirt that matches their eyes and suit jacket (not one of the fancy types, the more versatile types). My other favorite is black dress pants with t-shirt and sweater.

jeans, not too baggy (my personal preference) with a nice button up shirt. the shirt in a brighter color, mind you not neon but just something that isn't grey, blue or black. scent is a big thing too, so pay attention to that because i can assure you girls do.

wear jeans like not baggy jeans but ones that fit well(not meaning tight) and a t-shirt tennis shoes nothin fancy i like casual guys dont try to hard
